How do I know if a course qualifies for Continuing Education credit?
Continuing Education credit information will be listed with the program details. Click the 'Credit' tab to view specific information for available credit.

How can I find accredited CLE programs?
View State MCLE Requirements and select the state you are reporting credits in. You will then be able to navigate by the format that best suits your needs. You can also browse the NBI course catalog and filter by Credit Type.

May I receive Continuing Education credit for a course in more than one state?
Yes, you can request credit for any state with approved credit on the event. If you don't see your state or credit type, contact our Credit Department.

What if the Continuing Education credit I need is not listed on a course/product?
To inquire about the possibility of obtaining a credit not listed, contact our Credit Department.

How do I obtain proof/verification of my participation?
After completing a distance learning course and requesting credit, you will receive a certificate of completion in your My Account and by email within 7 days. For a Live In-Person Seminar, information will be available at the program.

May I receive partial credit if I did not complete the entire course?
Depending upon your accrediting agency requirements, credit may be awarded on a prorated basis for your participation time.

How will my Continuing Education Credits be reported?
Depending upon your accrediting agency requirements, we will submit your credits or will provide you with the information you need to report your own. You can view all state requirements by clicking on the following link State MCLE Requirements.

How do I request credit online?
In your My Account, click on 'My Credit' and look for your course under the 'Request Credit' tab. Click the 'Request Credit' button next to the course you are requesting credit for. You will be taken to the credit request form, where you will be asked to complete a program evaluation and select your credit. Depending on your accrediting agency requirements, either we will submit the credit on your behalf or we will provide you with the information that you need for self-reporting. If you've already submitted a credit request and want to review it, click on the 'View Submitted Credit Requests' tab, where you can review all previous credit requests. Note: Live In-Person Seminars attended will not be listed on this page. You must call our Customer Service Department at 800-930-6182 to request additional credit that was not requested at the Live In-Person Seminar.

If I took a course and it does not show up on my transcript, what do I do?
NBI will process your continuing education credit within 7 days of the completion of any distance learning course or within 21 days of a Live In-Person Seminar. Your credit will be reflected on your transcript once it is processed by your accrediting agency. If you have reported your own credit, please contact your accrediting agency regarding any errors in your transcript. If you have any questions, please Contact our Credit Department.

If I took a course within my reporting period and the credit is not reported before the end of the reporting period, will I be in non-compliance?
You will be in compliance as long as you completed the course within your reporting period. Continuing Education credit will be reported within 7 days of the completion of any distance learning course or within 21 days of a Live In-Person Seminar.

This information can be found by viewing State MCLE Requirements and selecting the state you are reporting credits in.

If I miss one of the attendance verification prompts during a distance learning course, what do I do?
Credit is awarded based on the rules of your state or accrediting agency. You will be awarded full or partial credit according to those rules. Please contact our Credit Department with additonal questions.
