Ezra L. Finkle is a partner with Lewis Brisbois Bisgaard & Smith LLP, in the firm's Houston office. He is a member of the general liability and transportation practices. Mr. Finkle has trial experience and has obtained numerous dismissals by way of summary judgment and has had unfavorable rulings overturned by review and/or appeal. He has taken and defended numerous depositions. Mr. Finkle has published legal updates in both the fields of employment and medical malpractice law. He is a graduate of both the NITA Building Trial Skills program and the Louisiana Association of Defense Counsel Trial Academy. Mr. Finkle earned his B.A. and J.D. degrees from Tulane University.
Michael J. Gorby is a founder and partner with Gorby Peters & Associates, LLC. He is a nationally recognized leader in complex corporate disputes, professional negligence cases, and liability issues that arise for property owners and managers, such as hotel chains, restaurants, shopping centers, apartment complexes, office buildings, and other public venues. Since 1998, Mr. Gorby has served as the program chair for the Institute of Continuing Legal Education in Georgia (an affiliate of the University of Georgia) on the topic of premises liability. He is also the author of a popular legal treatise, Premises Liability in Georgia, which is published by Thomson Reuters/West, and which is now in its third edition. Mr. Gorby serves as an instructor/lecturer for Georgia Tech Procurement Assistance Center (GTPAC) in the area of procuring government contracts and is also a registered mediator. He earned his B.A. degree from Georgia State University and his J.D. degree from the University of Georgia School of Law.
J. Gregory Marks is an attorney with Slack Davis Sanger in Dallas. Mr. Marks has dedicated his law practice to helping victims who have been injured as a result of negligence, defective, and dangerous products; and by the conscious disregard of safety protocols. He is board certified in personal injury trial law by the Texas Board for Legal Specialization and has done extensive legal work in exposing vehicle and product defects and enacting changes that ultimately save lives. He has been recognized by the U.S. World Report as Lawyer of the Year for his work in product liability litigation, a Top 100 Trial lawyer, and has been recognized as a Texas Super Lawyer every year since 2004. Mr. Marks is a member of the American Board of Trial Advocates, the Million Dollar Advocates' Forum, the American Association of Justice, and Texas Trial Lawyers association, as well as the American Bar Association. He has been admitted to practice law before all state and federal courts in Texas, the Northern District of Indiana, the Western District of Louisiana, the Southern District of New York, and the United States Judicial Panel on Multidistrict Litigation. Mr. Marks earned his B.S. degree from Texas A & M University and his J.D. degree from Dedman University School of Law at Southern Methodist University.
Amy L. Papesh is an attorney with the law firm of Elk & Elk Co., Ltd. She focuses her practice on probate administration and estate planning, and heads the firm's probate division. Ms. Papesh has previously lectured for National Business Institute on probate matters. She is admitted to practice in the states of Ohio and Florida; and is a member of the Ohio State, Cleveland Metropolitan, and Portage County bar associations. Ms. Papesh is also a member of the Lawyer's Guild of the Catholic Dioceses of Cleveland. She is a trustee for the Aurora Baseball League and also for the Aurora Schools Foundation. Ms. Papesh earned her B.A. degree from John Carroll University and her J.D. degree from Cleveland-Marshall College of Law.
