WILLIAM C. GENTRY has been practicing law since 1986. His practice is primarily litigation, centered in the areas of family law, automobile accidents, wrongful death, personal injury, and workers' compensation. Mr. Gentry has tried and argued hundreds of cases in both state and federal trial and appellate courts throughout Georgia, and he has handled dozens of appeals before Georgia's Supreme Court, the Court of Appeals, and the 11th Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals in Atlanta. He is a long-time member of the Cobb County Bar Association, the State Bar of Georgia, the American Bar Association, and the Georgia Trial Lawyers Association. Mr. Gentry is also a member of the U.S. Supreme Court Bar. In March, 2001, Mr. Gentry was elected president of the 1,000+ member Cobb County Bar Association. In 2012, he was elected to the Board of Governors of the State Bar of Georgia where he continues to serve Cobb’s lawyers and judges in that capacity. Mr. Gentry is a graduate of the University of Virginia's Economics Honors Program, where he earned his B.A. degree. After college, he worked for two years as a congressional aide in the U.S. House of Representatives in Washington, D.C., before returning to his native Georgia to earn his J.D. degree from the University of Georgia Law School.
MICHAEL J. GORBY, founder and partner with Gorby Peters & Associates, LLC, is a nationally recognized leader in complex corporate disputes, professional negligence cases, and liability issues that arise for property owners and managers, such as hotel chains, restaurants, shopping centers, apartment complexes, office buildings, and other public venues. Since 1998, Mr. Gorby has served as the program chair for the Institute of Continuing Legal Education in Georgia (an affiliate of the University of Georgia) on the topic of premises liability. He is also the author of a popular legal treatise, Premises Liability in Georgia, which is published by Thomson Reuters/West, and which is now in its third edition. Mr. Gorby serves as an instructor/lecturer for Georgia Tech Procurement Assistance Center (GTPAC) in the area of procuring government contracts, and is also a registered mediator. He has tried cases around the country on behalf of plaintiffs and defendants in complex commercial cases and professional negligence cases. Mr. Gorby earned his J.D. degree from University of Georgia School of Law.
BRIANT MILDENHALL joined Katz Wright Fleming Dodson & Mildenhall, LLC, in 2009. He focuses his practice in personal injury civil litigation involving trucking, automobile, aviation, and premises liability accidents. Mr. Mildenhall was admitted to practice law in Georgia in 2007. Prior to joining his present firm, he worked for a defense firm in Atlanta. Mr. Mildenhall earned his undergraduate degree in Russian and foreign literature from Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah. He earned his J.D. degree from the University of Georgia in Athens, Georgia. JOSEPH M. MURPHEY is a partner at Murphey’s Law Firm, LLC, in Marietta, Georgia. Though he still enjoys appearing for clients in the role of attorney, he derives much personal and professional satisfaction through his work as a mediator at Miles Mediation in Atlanta. Mr. Murphey is a member of the Georgia Academy of Mediators and Arbitrators, and the National Academy of Distinguished Neutrals. He has also been named a Georgia Super Lawyer for the past 10 years, and was named to the Super Lawyers Top 100 Lawyers in Georgia in 2016. Mr. Murphey was named an ADR Champion Trailblazer by the National Law Journal in 2016. He was the only mediator in Georgia to receive this prestigious distinction. He frequently lectures and teaches at continuing legal education seminars presented to attorneys and mediators; and has written extensively in the area of trial techniques, litigation and alternative dispute resolution. Mr. Murphey has served as a judge and coach for the Georgia High School Mock Trial program and serves as a judge/evaluator for multiple collegiate and law school mock trial competitions. He earned his B.A. degree, magna cum laude, and Phi Beta Kappa, from the University of South Carolina and J.D. degree from Emory University.
