ANNE W. CHAPMAN is a principal at Blalock Walters, P.A., in the firm’s labor and employment, and business litigation practice areas. Her practice focuses on representing clients in a wide range of labor and employment law issues, including defending public and private sector employers in discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and wage-hour litigation in state and federal court and before administrative agencies. NIKHIL N. JOSHI is a Florida bar board-certified attorney in labor and employment law and shareholder in the labor law firm of Hultman Sensenig + Joshi, P.A. Mr. Joshi exclusively represents management. He graduated, with honors, with a B.S. degree in management from the University of Florida; and then graduated from the University of Florida J.D./M.B.A, Joint Degree program, with honors, with a concentration in human resources management. While attending the University of Florida College of Law and College of Graduate Business School, Mr. Joshi served as president of the University of Florida Chapter of the Society for Human Resources Management. He represents and defends employers statewideÂ in matters implicating employment and labor laws. Over the years, Mr. Joshi has written and lectured locally, regionally, and nationally about various labor and employment-related matters, and has had articles published in national trade publications. He is a member of the Labor and Employment Law Section of The Florida Bar. Mr. Joshi also previously served as chair of the Sarasota County Labor and Employment Law Section. He is a preferred labor and employment counsel for the national trade organization Asian-American Hotel Owners Association (AAHOA); is a member of the Indo-U.S. Chamber of Commerce, Tampa Bay Chapter; and of TIE (The Indus Entrepreneurs) which fosters development of entrepreneurs regionally and globally. Mr. Joshi is a co-founder and former board member of a national, non-profit advocacy organization promoting tolerance.
LAKISHA M. KINSEY-SALLIS is a partner in the law firm of Johnson Jackson LLC. Since 2005, Ms. Kinsey-Sallis has concentrated her practice in the area of labor and employment law, and education law. Prior to private practice, she served as a law clerk to the Honorable Stuart Nudelman, Circuit Court of Cook County. Ms. Kinsey-Sallis is a member of the George Edgecomb, Hillsborough County and Illinois State bar associations; and The Florida Bar. She is a 2012 graduate of the HCBA Leadership Institute and currently serves as the national legal advisor to Jack and Jill of America, Inc. Ms. Kinsey-Sallis volunteers in the community with the Junior League of Tampa and was recently appointed to serve on The Florida Bar’s Diversity and Inclusion Committee. MARISA J. POWERS is a member of the litigation and labor and employment practice areas at Blalock Walters, P.A. Her practice involves the litigation of businesses disputes, probate, estate and trust disputes, title defect claims, employment, and construction law related controversies. Ms. Powers represents individuals, developers, builders, retail stores, non-profit organizations, title companies, and other businesses. She has handled a variety of matters, including breach of contract, business torts, real estate disputes, lien foreclosure actions, claims of undue influence, and mortgage foreclosure matters. Ms. Powers aids business clients in the performing of internal audits, drafting of employee handbooks and other employee-related documents, as well as the filing of trademark applications. She is a frequent speaker at seminars on construction-related litigation issues and mortgage foreclosure litigation.
