DAVID ASSALONE is an attorney with Weber Gallagher Simpson Stapleton Fires & Newby LLP, where he focuses his practice on civil litigation, specifically in the areas of commercial transportation and workers' compensation, representing large and small companies, corporate and institutional clients and large self-insured entities. He has significant experience in defending cases on behalf of banks, transportation, retail, service, healthcare and construction entities. In commercial transportation matters for freight and construction companies he provides counsel on personal injury and property damage defenses and advises on risk management. Mr. Assalone earned his B.A. degree from the University of Richmond and his J.D. degree from Villanova University School of Law.

RICHARD R. BUDNEY JR. is a partner in the Philadelphia, Pennsylvania law firm of Mulvey, Flanagan, & Budney, P.C. His current practice is limited to representing claimants in all aspects of plaintiff litigation matters with emphasis in workers' compensation, Social Security disability, unemployment compensation and personal injury, as well as estate planning matters. Mr. Budney has represented clients including members of Fraternal Order of Police Lodge 5, City of Philadelphia District Council 33 and City of Philadelphia Local 159, at all levels of the administrative and appellate levels for workers' compensation, Social Security and Supplemental Security Income matters. He earned his B.A. degree from La Salle University and his J.D. degree from Widener University School of Law. Mr. Budney also has received an estate planning certification from Temple University School of Law.

HON. GEOFFREY W. DLIN has retired and returned to private practice, joining Krasno, Krasno & Onwudinjo after serving more than 15 years as a workers’ compensation judge. As a judge, he decided thousands of contested workers’ compensation cases and frequently taught other lawyers, judges and private organizations about workers’ compensation matters. In addition to those traditional roles of a judge, Mr. Dlin developed a statewide mediation practice. His skills in settling workers’ compensation cases were highly sought after and well regarded by lawyers and litigants on both sides of a case. Mr. Dlin earned his B.A. degree from Vanderbilt University and his J.D. degree from The Dickinson School of Law.

BRET R. GOLDSTEIN is a partner with the firm of Reger Rizzo & Darnall LLP, in the firm's Philadelphia office. He is chair of the firm's employment practices group, concentrating in the representation of management in workers' compensation, employment and labor matters. Mr. Goldstein regularly counsels clients on a broad range of employment-related issues. His extensive experience before state and federal agencies and courts includes such areas as discrimination and sexual harassment claims, and wrongful discharge issues exclusively on behalf of employers. Mr. Goldstein is the author of numerous articles regarding Medicare, including issues involving Medicare set-asides, Medicare liens and the recent changes to Medicare reporting. He has been assessing resolutions for Medicare involvement and obtaining reasonable amounts for Medicare set-asides since the inception of the changes to the Medicare/Social Security laws. Mr. Goldstein has provided many employers and insurance carriers with opinions helping them resolve cases when dealing with the Medicare obstacle. He is a member of the Pennsylvania Bar Association (member, Workers' Compensation Section). Mr. Goldstein earned his B.A. degree from Lafayette College and his J.D. degree from Rutgers University at Camden.

JOSEPH RING is an attorney with Martin Law LLC who focuses his practice primarily on Pennsylvania workers’ compensation law. Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Ring practiced as an associate in the workers’ compensation department of a mid-sized regional defense firm and litigated trials across the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. In the fall of 2015, Mr. Ring was accredited by the VA as an attorney to assist with claims for VA benefits. He earned his B.A. degree from Saint Vincent College and his J.D. degree from Villanova University School of Law.

MICHAEL D. SCHAFF is a founding partner in the Philadelphia firm of Schaff & Young, P.C. His firm represents insurance companies and/or employers in claims brought under the Pennsylvania Workers' Compensation Act, the New Jersey Workers' Compensation Act, and the Longshore and Harborworkers' Compensation Act. Mr. Schaff has served as a workers' compensation judge for the D.C. Department of Employment Services in Washington, D.C., where he conducted formal hearings and rendered decisions on claims brought under the D.C. Workers' Compensation Act. In addition to his defense of the insured and self-insured employers, he also represents "uninsured" employers. Mr. Schaff conducts lectures on practice and procedure under the Pennsylvania and Longshore acts, and he has written extensively on his areas of practice. He is a member of the Philadelphia Bar Association. Mr. Schaff served as the chair of the Philadelphia Bar Association's Midsized Firm Management Committee from 2004 through 2005, and he served as defense chair for the Philadelphia Bar Association's Workers' Compensation Section for 1999. He was a Hearing Committee member of the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania's Disciplinary Board. Mr. Schaff earned his undergraduate degree from Muhlenberg College and his J.D. degree from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law.
