D. JEN BROWN practices in the areas of family problems, criminal defense, immigration and civil rights. She defends clients against a variety of criminal charges including DUI/DWI, traffic charges and various other crimes. Ms. Brown also is dedicated to providing quality counsel to clients with family law cases involving divorce, separation, custody, support, and domestic violence. Finally, she also provides legal assistance in matters of real estate law including foreclosure defense and evictions. Prior to establishing her own practice, Ms. Brown served as an assistant federal defender and assistant U.S. attorney, and had the privilege of serving under both Attorney General Janet Reno and Attorney General John Ashcroft. She earned her B.A. degree from Dartmouth College and her J.D. degree from The University of Chicago.
SCOTT H. CASHER is a partner in the Manhattan and Westchester offices of White and Williams LLP. He represents business entities, with respect to a wide variety of employment claims, in state and federal trial and appellate courts in New York, New Jersey and Connecticut; and at arbitrations and in mediations. Mr. Casher practices exclusively on the management side in the area of employment and labor law. He earned his B.A. degree from Hampshire College and his J.D. degree from Temple University, where he was a member of the Temple Law Review. Mr. Casher is a member of the American Bar Association (Tort Trial and Insurance Practice), the Defense Research Institute (Insurance Law Committee), the Association of the Bar of the City of New York, the New York State Bar Association, and the Professional Liability Underwriting Society.
MICHAEL R. HEKLE is a principal at Jackson Lewis P.C., where he focuses his practice on labor law. He represents employers of varying sizes and industries in a wide-range of labor and employment matters, including union contract negotiations, union grievances and arbitrations, representational campaigns, NLRB trials, and other traditional labor matters. Mr. Hekle also assists and counsels organizations on items such as wage and hour audits, discrimination claims, employee handbook policies, management training matters, and other preventative strategies. He also represents villages, towns, libraries and various other public entities in contract negotiations, disciplinary proceedings, PERB hearings, and interest arbitrations. Mr. Hekle has assisted public sector employers in a wide range of traditional employment law matters, such as discrimination claims, leaves of absence and policy drafting. He is a member of the American Bar Association and the New York State Bar Association. Mr. Hekle earned his B.A. and B.Ed. degrees from the University of Manitoba and his J.D. degree from Hofstra University School of Law.
SHAY A. HUMPHREY is special counsel in the Newburg office of the law firm of Catania, Mahon, Milligram & Rider, PLLC. She practices primarily in connection with general corporate law and commercial transactions with an emphasis in intellectual property and copyrights, trademarks, and licensing agreements. Ms. Humphrey has extensive experience in medical services delivery law and regulation and government contracting process. She is a member of the New York State Bar Association, Orange County Bar Association and the Women's Bar. Ms. Humphrey earned her B.A. degree from Vassar College and her J.D. degree from the University of Florida Law School.
