Speaker bio
Scott K. Sheets
is a partner with Dinsmore & Shohl LLP, a full-service, national law firm with over 700 attorneys across the country. Mr. Sheets is a partner in the firm’s labor and employment department, focusing his practice on the representation of employers in the areas of labor and employment laws, employment-related litigation, and general commercial litigation. He routinely counsels and represents employers on matters of wrongful termination, workplace harassment, employment discrimination, workers’ compensation, unemployment, unfair labor practices, contract negotiations, arbitrations, and OSHA citations. Mr. Sheets frequently conducts seminars and publishes materials of interest to employers and human resource professionals on such topics as internal investigations, employee discipline and job performance strategies, handbooks and policies, workplace privacy, wage and hours issues, and developments in state and federal labor and employment laws. He is admitted to practice before the state courts of Ohio and West Virginia, and before the United States Courts of Appeal for the Fourth and Sixth circuits. Mr. Sheets earned his B.A.degree, summa cum laude, from Marshall University in history; and his J.D. degree from the College of William & Mary, where he was Order of the Coif.

Benjamin B. Vanston
is an associate at Pullin, Fowler, Flanagan, Brown & Poe, PLLC, where he practices employment law. He received his Bachelor's degree, cum laude, from Marshall University; and his J.D. degree from West Virginia College of Law. Mr. Vanston received a CALI Award in Constitutional law his 1L year and was an associate editor on Issue 123 of the West Virginia Law Review. During his 3L year, his student note, "Putting Together the Pieces: The Mosaic Theory and Fourth Amendment Jurisprudence Since Carpenter", was selected for publication. Mr. Vanston also served as an Executive Board member of the Democratic Law Caucus and the Labor & Employment Law Society. He is licensed to practice in West Virginia.

David D. Amsbary
is a member of Bailes, Craig, Sellards, PLLC, in Huntington, West Virginia and focuses his practice in the areas of health care, labor and employment, and trial practice. He has represented clients before the National Labor Relations Board, West Virginia Unemployment Commission, EEOC, West Virginia Human Rights Commission, and civil litigation in state and federal courts. Mr. Amsbary is a graduate of The Ohio State College of Law, and is admitted to practice in West Virginia, Ohio and North Carolina. In addition to his active litigation practice in state and federal courts, Mr. Amsbary has also served as a lecturer presenting seminars on topics including employment law, privacy issues, social media, and wage and hour law. Mr. Amsbary has served on the West Virginia State Bar Association Board of Governors, Cabell County Bar Association, West Virginia CASA Association, Huntington Little League member and president, and Cabell County Library Board of Trustees.

Alexandra G. Farone
is an associate in the employment and labor, litigation, and emerging technologies groups of Babst, Calland, Clements and Zomnir, P.C. She has a broad range of experience representing corporate, technology, municipal, and energy clients in all facets of employment law, public and private labor, and complex commercial litigation. Ms. Farone is a member of the Allegheny County, Pennsylvania, and West Virginia Bar associations. She has served multiple terms on Council of the Young Lawyer’s Division (YLD) of the Allegheny County Bar Association, and currently co-chairs the Communications Committee of the YLD and serves as the editor in chief of the Point of Law Newsletter, which won an American Bar Association Award of Achievement under her leadership. At Babst Calland, Ms. Farone is a member of the Women’s Initiative Committee and regularly serves as a mentor in the summer associate program. She earned her B.A. degree, summa cum laude, from Baldwin Wallace University; and her J.D. degree from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law, where she graduated magna cum laude and a member of the Order of the Coif. Ms. Farone is licensed to practice in Pennsylvania, West Virginia and before the United States District Courts for the Eastern and Western districts of Pennsylvania, Northern and Southern districts of West Virginia, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit.

Janet K. Meub
is senior counsel in the litigation and employment and labor groups of Babst, Calland, Clements and Zomnir, P.C. She has significant experience in the areas of employment and labor law, professional liability defense, insurance coverage and bad faith litigation, toxic tort litigation, nursing home negligence, and medical malpractice defense. Ms. Meub has a diversified practice that includes defending employers, healthcare providers, law enforcement and other professionals, and non-profits, at all levels of civil litigation through trial. She routinely counsels non-profit clients on employment matters, including discrimination, wage and hour, FMLA, and represents employers in PHRC/EEOC matters and at unemployment compensation hearings. Ms. Meub is a member of the Allegheny County, Mahoning County, Pennsylvania, Ohio State and American bar associations. She has served on the Allegheny County Bar Association's Sub-Committee on Police Use of Force and is also a fellow of the Allegheny County Bar Foundation. Ms. Meub has served on the Allegheny County Bar Foundation's Attorneys Against Hunger Committee and Board of Directors for Focus on Renewal Sto-Rox, H.O.P.E. Network, and Pittsburgh Center for Arts & Media. She is a member of Amen Corner, 100+ Women Who Care Pittsburgh, and a volunteer attorney for the Neighborhood Legal Services' Protection from Abuse Program. Ms. Meub earned her B.A. degree, with honors, from Miami University; and her J.D. from Duquesne University School of Law.
