SARAH E. BALEY is an attorney with McDonald Carano, in the firm’s trust estate and wealth preservation group. She works closely with individuals and families to create estate plans that minimize income and transfer taxes with the goal of preserving and transferring wealth. Through the use of various estate planning vehicles, Ms. Baley designs estate plans that are tax efficient and tailored to her clients’ needs. Her work includes business succession planning, tax planning, traditional estate planning, planning for incapacity, probate and trust administration, charitable giving, and entity formation and dissolution. Ms. Baley is admitted to practice in Nevada and before the Nevada Supreme Court. She is a member of the Estate Planning Council of Northern Nevada and the University of Nevada Planned Giving Advisory Council. She serves on the boards of the Planned Giving Round Table of Northern Nevada and the Nevada Women’s Fund. Ms. Baley earned her B.A. degree, cum laude, with honors, from Davidson College; her J.D. degree from the University of Texas School of Law; and her LL.M. degree from New York University School of Law.
CAREN C. JENKINS is the principal attorney with Nevada Legacy Law, where her practice areas include probate avoidance, family trusts, living wills/end of life care, charitable gifts, valuation assistance, powers of attorney, incapacity planning, asset protection, special needs trusts, business succession, and real property law. LORA E. MYLES has been an attorney for the Carson and Rural Elder Law Program for 20 years. She is a member of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys and the National Guardianship Association. Ms. Myles has written or co-written several pieces of legislation, which are now Nevada law, including revisions to the public guardian and public administrator statute, the guardianship statute, the power of attorney statutes, and the statutes protecting cemeteries. She is a caregiver, having cared for grandmothers, an aunt, uncles, and her father. Ms. Myles was raised in Reno, and earned her graduate degrees from the University of Nevada, Reno; and Vermont Law School.
RICHARD P. SCHULZE is the owner of Schulze Law Group and principal shareholder in Patriot Legal Services, a national firm consulting with attorneys on practice development and marketing. He is an accredited VA attorney. Mr. Schulze's law practice emphasizes wills, trusts, and asset preservation planning, as well as elder law.
