ALLISON EKLUND has been practicing law in Minnesota since 1998. After two years in general litigation at a large Twin Cities firm, she spent almost eight years in a small firm representing Indian tribes and tribal organization. Ms. Eklund has represented tribal social services departments in child protection proceedings in tribal courts and state courts nationwide. She has helped draft tribal legislation and constitutional amendments; and has represented tribes in boundary disputes, natural resource management, treatment as a state under the Clean Water Act, and Federal litigation over multi-state regulatory encroachment on tribal sovereignty. Ms. Eklund spent several years shepherding fee-to-trust applications through the U.S. Department of Interior and Bureau of Indian Affairs. Her exposure to a broad variety of legal issues supports a diverse solo practice where she often represents ranching and construction businesses navigating the complexity of overlapping state, federal and tribal laws. In addition to federal Indian law, Ms. Eklund's practice areas include residential and recreational real estate, estate planning, nonprofit and small business formation and consulting, and family and juvenile law. She earned her B.A. degree from St. Olaf College, her M.A. degree from United Theological Seminary, and her J.D. degree from Hamline University School of Law.
JENNIFER R. HEINZ is an attorney in Eau Claire, Wisconsin with more than 20 years of legal experience. Her practice centers around helping individuals and families with their estate planning, trust administration, probate, and real estate needs. She is an active educator and speaker who enjoys sharing the importance of good estate planning. Ms. Heinz works with clients from all walks of life, regularly providing advice to clients with complex estate planning needs and assisting clients with simple wills and powers of attorney. Prior to founding Jennifer Heinz Law, LLC, she served as an assistant district attorney for Eau Claire County and as faculty at Chippewa Valley Technical College teaching legal and government courses. Ms. Heinz has and continues to be involved in a wide variety of civic organizations. She is vice-president of the Chippewa Falls Area School Board, and serves on the Board of Directors for the Heyde Center for the Arts, and the Advisory Board for the CVTC Paralegal Program. Ms. Heinz graduated from the University of Wisconsin - Madison with a degree in education and received her law degree from the University of Wisconsin Law School. She is licensed to practice in both Wisconsin and Minnesota.
CAMERON R. KELLY is an attorney with Lommen Abdo, P.A., who enjoys providing high quality planning for individuals and businesses. In the course of his practice, Mr. Peek also provides transactional services in the areas of business entity creation and dissolution, real estate, trusts and estates.
