VINCENT M. CASIANO is the founder of The Casiano Law Firm, where his practice is focused on preserving wealth from one generation to the next through innovative estate and long-term care planning strategies. Mr. Casiano's practice is split between transactional work in estate planning, elder law, special needs trust planning, long-term care planning, Medicaid/Medi-Cal planning, probate, and trust administration with a litigation practice encompassing estate litigation (will and trust disputes), financial elder abuse and disputed conservatorship proceedings. He is a frequent lecturer on these subjects. Mr. Casiano is a member of the State Bar of California. He is a founding member of the WealthCounsel's Advisor Forum, a charter member of the Academy of Special Needs Trust Planners, and a member of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys. Mr. Casiano has also served as a past chair of the San Diego County Bar Association's Elder Law Section, and was a fellow of the ABA's Real Property, Probate and Trust Section. He earned his B.S. degree from the State University of New York Maritime College at Fort Schuyler and his J.D. degree from the University of California Hastings College of the Law.
BRIAN G. ISAACSON is a sole practitioner in Seattle at the Isaacson Law Firm. He is a member of the Academy of Attorney-CPAs, whose practice focuses on estate and trust tax planning and controversy, and Medicaid benefits planning. He is the co-author of a handbook titled, "Protect Your IRA, Avoid the 5 Common Mistakes." He received his B.A. degree from St. Martin's College; J.D. degree from Seattle University School of Law; LL.M. degree, in taxation, from the University of Denver.
THOMAS J. MURPHY is an attorney located in the Ahwatukee area of Phoenix. His practice emphasizes estate planning, elder law (including nursing home issues), all probate matters (including contested matters and guardianships), and tax controversies. Mr. Murphy has regularly appeared before the Arizona Court of Appeals, litigating many of the cutting-edge appellate cases in probate law and has successfully litigated cases in the U.S. Tax Court, the Arizona Tax Court, and the Arizona Board of Tax Appeals. He is a member of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys, the State Bar of Arizona (Tax Law, Probate and Trust Law, Mental Health and Elder Law sections), and the Arizona Medicaid Planning Council. He serves on the Advisory Board of the Phoenix Tax Workshop and the editorial board of NAELA News. Mr. Murphy graduated from Tufts University, with honors, and he earned his J.D. degree from Suffolk University Law School.
LOWELL H. ORREN is a partner in the Pasadena law firm of Orren & Orren, where he represents clients in estate planning, probate, and tax matters. Mr. Orren is certified as a specialist in estate planning, probate and trust law by the California State Bar Board of Legal Specialization. He has taught economics and business law at the University of Minnesota; University of California, Los Angeles; California State University, Los Angeles; and the University of Phoenix. He is a member of the Trust and Estates Section of the State Bar of California; the Probate and Trust Section of the Pasadena Bar Association; and WealthCounsel, LLC. Mr. Orren earned his B.A. degree in mathematics from the University of California, Berkeley; his Ph.D. degree in economics from the University of Minnesota; his J.D. degree from Loyola Law School; and his LL.M. degree in taxation from Golden Gate University.
