BRIAN BROWN is assistant general counsel-Intellectual Property with Stoneridge, Inc. Mr. Brown's practice focuses on commercial and intellectual property litigation, particularly in the areas of complex contracts, unfair competition, patents, and trademarks. He also counsels clients, negotiates, and drafts a wide variety of commercial contracts, including sales and purchase agreements, joint development agreements, technology licensing agreements, and the like. Mr. Brown received his J.D. degree from the University of Michigan Law School and his B.A. degree from the University of Michigan-Dearborn.
STEVEN SUSSER is a shareholder with Carlson, Gaskey & Olds, PC, in Birmingham, Michigan. Mr. Susser is a trial lawyer with experience trying commercial litigation matters to a jury, particularly in the areas of patents, trademarks, and complex contracts. His practice is national in scope with recent appearances in federal courts in New York, Houston, Denver, and Detroit. He has also argued before the International Trade Commission in Washington, D.C., and has handled appeals before the Sixth, Second, and Federal Circuit Courts of Appeals, including the seminal KSR v. Teleflex case. He received his A.B. degree, high honors, from University of Michigan and earned his J.D. degree from Columbia University School of Law. After law school, Mr. Susser clerked for former Chief Judge Gerald Rosen in the Federal Court for the Eastern District of Michigan and later worked for Davis Polk & Wardwell in New York. He has been named to Best Lawyers in America for intellectual property litigation.
