STEVEN FRANCKHAUSER, CIPP, is chief legal officer at Stewart Marrwell, LLC, with offices in Orlando, Florida and Columbus, Ohio. Over the course of his diverse legal career, Mr. Franckhauser has litigated several jury trials, crafted and negotiated contracts with public and private entities in all 50 states, as well as several foreign countries, arbitrated disputes for FINRA and acted as general counsel and corporate secretary for top sixty professional services firms. Mr. Franckhauser currently focuses his efforts on data privacy and cyber security with emphasis on the contractual terms and conditions for supply chain data risk management. He is an adjunct professor of law at the Duquesne University School of Law and Pennsylvania State University where he has taught information privacy and security in the College of Information Science and Technology. Mr. Franckhauser serves on various industry-related organizations boards and is a frequent lecturer and speaker on cyber security, data privacy, and contractual best practices. He is a trained and experienced arbitrator, mediator, and business counselor. Mr. Franckhauser earned his B.A. degree from The Ohio State University and his J.D. degree from the Duquesne University School of Law.
ARTHUR M. NATHAN is a director in the law firm of Kane Russell Coleman & Logan PC, in Houston where he practices in the areas of mergers and acquisitions, and business taxation. With almost 43 years of experience, a significant part of his practice involves the representation of clients who are buying or selling businesses. Mr. Nathan received his B.A. degree, with high honors, and his J.D. degree, with honors, from the University of Texas. He was an adjunct professor of law at the University of Houston Law Center where he taught advanced corporate taxation and business planning. Mr. Nathan is a member of the State Bar of Texas (member, State Bar Commission on Legal Specialization for Tax Law) and the American Bar Association (member, Taxation Section Committee on Negotiated Acquisitions). He is board certified in tax law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization.
