JENNIFER R. COATES is a partner with Dorsey & Whitney LLP. Ms. Coates has extensive litigation and trial experience representing corporations and government entities in complex civil litigation matters. She has also defended corporations and government entities in commercial litigation, and has significant trial and appellate experience. Ms. Coates focuses her practice in the areas of commercial litigation, toxic tort, and product liability for corporate clients. She also has a growing practice in the emerging areas of technology law and cybersecurity. Ms. Coates received her B.A. degree from Amherst College, her M.A. degree from Brown University, and her J.D. degree from Georgetown University Law Center.
JODI M. SCHEBEL is a partner with the law firm of Bowman and Brooke LLP, where she focuses her practice on product liability defense litigation. She holds significant experience with discovery coordination and eDiscovery in commercial and business cases, complex litigation, and class action matters. Ms. Schebel currently serves as national discovery counsel for a major automotive manufacturer on class action and other product liability matters in both state and federal courts throughout the U.S. She develops and implements protocols for handling all aspects of case discovery, including case strategy, case management conferences, claw back agreements, deposition protocols, ESI agreements, protective orders, privilege logs, and document collection and review. Ms. Schebel is a member of the International Association of Defense Counsel, American Inns of Court (barrister, Detroit Chapter), State Bar of Michigan (Litigation Section), as well as the American (Women in Products Liability, and Tort and Insurance Practice sections), Federal (Southeastern Michigan Chapter) and Detroit Metropolitan bar associations. She earned her B.S. degree, magna cum laude, from Wayne State University; and her J.D. degree, cum laude, from Wayne State University Law School. Ms. Schebel is admitted to practice in Michigan, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit, and the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan.
