DAVID J. MACK is a partner with Shumaker Loop & Kendrick LLP, where his principal areas of practice are banking, mergers and acquisitions, securities, regulated lending, and general corporate. He regularly assists banking organizations with merger and acquisition matters, including the purchase and sale of entire banks, thrift institutions, or branches. Mr. Mack also represents financial institutions in both public securities offerings and private placements, as well as provides ongoing counsel regarding reporting obligations under the Securities and Exchange Act of 1934. He is admitted to practice in Ohio. Mr. Mack is a member of the Ohio State Bar Association and American Bar Association. He earned his B.A. degree from the University of Toledo and J.D. degree, magna cum laude, from the University of Toledo College of Law.
KENT D. RIESEN is a partner with Anspach Law, where he practices in the areas of construction claims, medical malpractice, insurance coverage claims, transportation defense, commercial claims, employment issues, and environmental law. Mr. Riesen is admitted to practice in Michigan, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, and West Virginia. He is a member of the Toledo and Ohio State bar associations, The West Virginia State Bar, the State Bar of Michigan, the Defense Research Institute, the Ohio Association of Civil Trial Attorneys, and the Toledo and Columbus claims associations. Mr. Riesen earned his B.A. degree from Ohio Northern University and J.D. degree from the University of Toledo College of Law.
MATTHEW J. SILLA, ASA, CFA, is a senior manager with Apple Growth Partners. AGP is a full service CPA firm focused on helping privately held businesses grow. He is part of the firm’s business valuation and litigation support team, which consists of nine full-time employees and completes more than 200 engagements per year. Mr. Silla focuses his areas of concentration on the valuation of privately owned businesses, ESOPs, intangible assets and stock options, as well as financial market and industry research, financial modeling, and company specific financial performance analysis. He is a member of the Chartered Financial Analyst Institute and the American Society of Appraisers. In addition to serving as a senior member of the firms ESOP team, Mr. Silla heads the firm’s financial reporting valuation practice. He earned his B.A. degree with a concentration in finance from Baldwin Wallace University.
BETH A. TISCHLER is the law director for Maumee City. Ms. Tischler is responsible for all civil legal matters related to Maumee and advises city council, board and commission members and the administration on legal matters. She also supervises the municipal prosecutor and oversees outside counsel. Ms. Tischler earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Rio Grande and her Master's and J.D. degrees from the University of Toledo.
