ROBERT J. KASIETA is the founder of Kasieta Legal Group, LLC, in Madison, Wisconsin. He is a certified civil pretrial and trial specialist by the National Board of Trial Advocacy. Mr. Kasieta practices in civil litigation, with an emphasis on plaintiff personal injury and employment cases, as well as commercial litigation. He has written and taught extensively in the areas of trial practice, personal injury law and insurance law, and is an instructor of trial practice at the University of Wisconsin Law School. Mr. Kasieta is admitted to practice before the U.S. Supreme Court, as well as the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 11th Circuit, U.S. Court of Appeals for the 7th Circuit, and all Wisconsin courts. He is a member of the Dane County Bar Association, State Bar of Wisconsin, and the American Association for Justice. Mr. Kasieta earned his B.S. degree, summa cum laude, from Northern Michigan University and his J.D. degree from Marquette University Law School.
DANIEL R. SHULMAN is a trial lawyer in Minneapolis, Minnesota, who has been trying cases for the past 50 years. He is now a trial attorney with the Minnesota ACLU. He has been chief counsel in antitrust and other complex commercial litigation involving major industries in a variety of cases ranging from data storage, media, food, oil and gasoline, airlines, consumer electronics, medical electronics, health care, thoroughbred horses, and many other areas. Mr. Shulman has also been counsel in trademark and patent infringement actions, and has an active pro bono civil rights practice. He continues to write and lecture extensively. He is a fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers; the International Academy of Trial Lawyers; the Litigation Counsel of America, Trial Lawyer Honorary Society; and the Nation’s Top One Percent, National Association of Distinguished Counsel. He is a member of the American Bar Association, Minnesota State Bar Association, and Hennepin County Bar Association. Mr. Shulman has been listed in The Best Lawyers in America® 1993-2019. He was named a Minnesota Lawyer of the Year for 2102 and 2018. Mr. Shulman earned his undergraduate degree, with honors, from Harvard University; his master's degree from Yale University; and his juris doctor degree, cum laude, from Harvard Law School.
JAMES M. SUSAG is a shareholder with Larkin Hoffman Daly & Lindgren Ltd., in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Since 1995, his commercial and real estate litigation trial practice has focused on franchise; dealer and contract disputes; and real estate, construction, and land use. He has extensive first chair litigation experience representing clients in numerous jury and court trials, domestic and international arbitrations, administrative proceedings, and appeals. Mr. Susag is a member of the Minnesota State, Hennepin County, and Ramsey County bar associations; the American Bar Association's Forum on Franchising; and the International Franchise Association. He is admitted to practice in state and federal courts in Minnesota and Wisconsin, as well as the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 7th, 4th, and 8th circuits. Mr. Susag is a frequent writer, public speaker, and panelist. He has been named a Super Lawyer from 2002 - present, a Best Lawyer in America and a Best Lawyer in Minnesota by Minnesota Monthly magazine, and one of the Very Best U.S. Attorneys in Franchising and a Franchise Legal Eagle by Franchise Times.
