GORDON S. JACK is a tax partner with the Tidwell Group. He has more than 28 years of public accounting experience, including 15 years as the managing partner of a Salt Lake City, Utah, based firm. Mr. Jack works closely with individuals and business owners to assist them with their tax and estate planning needs. His experience covers tax, accounting, and closely held business consulting with industry experience, including real estate development, low-income housing tax credits, professional publications, financial institution service organizations, oil and gas partnerships, foreign corporation transfer pricing and subsidiary accounting, franchises, mortgage brokerage firms, professional service firms, various business and estate tax planning, tax authority representation, and assisting the closely held business attain its potential. He is also responsible for managing and planning tax engagements within the firm. Mr. Jack is called upon to teach classes concerning accounting, income tax, and increasing the value of your closely held business, as well as discussing accounting as a profession with high school and college students. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Alabama Society of Certified Public Accountants, and the Utah Association of Certified Public Accountants. Mr. Jack is licensed in the states of Alabama, California, and Utah. He earned his B.A. degree from the University of Utah.
JOHN PAUL PARKS is a sole practitioner in Scottsdale, Arizona, where he practices in the areas of estate planning, trust and estate administration, and business law. He previously has lectured on estate matters for professional groups, including the Southern California Tax and Estate Planning Forum, National Business Institute, and the Institute for Paralegal Education. Mr. Parks is a member of the Scottsdale Bar Association, the Scottsdale Estate Planners, and is a former agent with the Attorneys' Title Insurance Fund, Inc. in Orlando, Florida. He was the principal draftsman of the Florida Not-For-Profit Corporation Act that became effective in 1991, and is a past member of the State Bar of Arizona's Committee on the Rules of Professional Conduct (the Ethics Committee). Mr. Parks is admitted to practice in Arizona, California, Florida, and the District of Columbia. He earned his B.B.A. and J.D. degrees from Stetson University, and his LL.M. degree from the University of Miami.
PAUL F. WRIGHT is the founding partner of The Wright Firm, L.L.P., where he practices in the areas of estate planning, probate and tax. Mr. Wright is a licensed Texas attorney and a certified public accountant. Mr. Wright is board certified in estate planning & probate law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization. He is a frequent lecturer on tax, estate planning and probate, as well as how technology impacts the practice of law. Mr. Wright is a member of the Texas Society of CPAs, the AICPA, the Dallas Bar Association (member, Business Litigation, Tax, Estate Planning and Probate sections), the State Bar of Texas (member, Real Estate, Probate and Trusts & Computer and Technology sections), the American Bar Association (member, Real Estate, Probate and Trusts Section) and the College of the State Bar of Texas. He is recognized in Super Lawyers in the category of trust and estates, and Best Lawyers in Dallas in the category of tax, trust and estates. Mr. Wright earned his B.S. degree in accounting from the University of North Texas, his M.S. degree in taxation from the University of North Texas, and his J.D. degree from South Texas College of Law.
