LEONARD M. COLE, an attorney with Cole Nonprofits Law, LLC, has been focusing exclusively in nonprofits and tax law for almost two decades. He advises and represents nonprofit clients on a wide range of corporate, tax, regulatory and transactional matters. Mr. Cole regularly works with charities, foundations, associations, schools and other educational organizations, international organizations, and other categories of exempt organizations. Before opening Cole Nonprofits Law, LLC, in 2012, he was the principal nonprofits law attorney at a regional firm in Portland, Maine. Prior to that, Mr. Cole practiced tax law in international law firms in New York and Boston and advised nonprofit organizations extensively at smaller firms in both cities. He earned his undergraduate degree from Berklee College of Music in Boston; his law degree, cum laude, from Duke University School of Law; and his Master of Laws in taxation from New York University School of Law.
