Ms. Boatman-Sloan is a member of the Greene County Estate Planning Council, National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys, the Junior League of Springfield, and Business Network International. She is a member of the Probate and Trust committees of The Missouri Bar and the Springfield Metropolitan Bar Association. Ms. Boatman-Sloan earned her B.A. degree, cum laude, from Truman State University and her J.D. degree from St. Louis University School of Law.
LISHA A. PRATER SEERY is a sole practitioner in the law firm of Lisha Prater Seery, LLC, where she focuses her practice in family law, estate planning, business succession planning, elder law, probate, guardianships, and family law mediation. She earned her B.S. degree from Drury University, and her J.D. degree at the University of Missouri-Columbia. Ms. Prater Seery is a frequent lecturer and author on various areas of her practice. She is a certified mediator with advanced training in high conflict divorces, and has received training as a divorce financial analyst. Additionally, Ms. Prater Seery has been a certified guardian ad litem since 2000. She has previously served as an adjunct professor in federal tax at Drury University, and as an adjunct professor in negotiation at Missouri State-Springfield. Ms. Prater Seery is frequently involved in the 40-hour mediation training offered by Missouri State University's Dispute Resolution Department. She is a recipient of the Fred L. Howard Prize for Excellence in appellate advocacy and was designated a Super Lawyer in family law in 2009 by Missouri & Kansas Super Lawyers. Ms. Prater Seery is a member of The Missouri Bar (Family, Elder Law and Estate Planning committees) and the American Bar Association (Family Law and Real Property, Trusts and Estates sections). She is a founding member and past officer of the Missouri Chapter of the Association of Family and Conciliation Courts; and is the founder of the Family Conflict Resolution Center in Springfield, Missouri, a non-profit organization providing low-cost mediation and parent education to low-income litigants.
