SARAH HEDTKE is general counsel for Midwest Title Group LLC. She joined Midwest Title Group in May of 2015. Ms. Hedtke assists Midwest Title Group management and staff on various legal matters. She also provides underwriting counsel, oversees Midwest Title Group’s 1031 exchanges, and prepares educational materials for staff on real estate and title insurance topics. Prior to joining Midwest Title Group, Ms. Hedtke worked in a general practice law firm. She focused her practice on real estate, estate planning, probate, business, family, and landlord/tenant law. Ms. Hedtke earned her J.D. degree from the University of Wisconsin Law School and frequently returns as a guest faculty member for the lawyering skills course. Mrs. Hedtke is a member of the State Bar of Wisconsin, the Price-Taylor Bar Association, and the Wisconsin Land Title Association.
BRAD L.F. HOESCHEN is the Wisconsin state manager and underwriting counsel for Old Republic National Title Insurance Company. In his capacity as assistant vice president, he assists Old Republic agents with underwriting decisions and works to strengthen Old Republic's agency network in Wisconsin. Prior to joining Old Republic, Mr. Hoeschen worked in a private practice for litigation defending title insurance companies and agents. He also worked in transactional practice, assisting individuals and corporations in acquiring real property. Mr. Hoeschen currently serves on the Milwaukee Administrative Review Appeals Board, hearing appeals of various violations of municipal ordinances. He was appointed to the position by the mayor of Milwaukee. He previously served on the City of Milwaukee Historic Preservation Commission. Mr. Hoeschen also chaired the Woodlands School Board of Directors, Select Milwaukee Board of Directors and Sacred Heart of Jesus Parish Council. He is a graduate of Marquette University Law School and Loyola University-New Orleans. He has served as adjunct faculty at Marquette University Law School. Prior to law school, Mr. Hoeschen was a print and broadcast journalist in Milwaukee and New Orleans.
PAM KAHN-STEIN has more than 25 years in the title insurance industry. Ms. Kahn-Stein has worked both for an underwriter as assistant state counsel, manager and trainer, as well as working for agencies as general counsel, manager, examiner, closer, and trainer. Currently, she is the general counsel and compliance officer for Town n’ Country Title, LLC. Ms. Kahn-Stein is active in the Wisconsin Land Title Association. She has been on the WLTA Board of Directors and is a past president of the association. She still serves the association by sitting on several WLTA committees. Also, she developed and wrote the curriculum, as well as being the instructor for the WLTA pre-licensing seminar and is co-instructor for the WLTA Residential Closing class. Ms. Kahn-Stein was appointed to serve on the Wisconsin Land Title Professional Council. She has held several board positions with civic groups and has received commendation for her service to Girl Scouts Wisconsin Southeast. Ms. Kahn-Stein received her B.A. degree from UW-Madison and her Juris Doctor from Western Michigan University, Cooley School of Law. She is a member of the State Bar of Wisconsin.
