Mr. Abrams has represented companies and lenders in documenting different types of transactions, including acquisition and development of land, shopping centers, office and industrial buildings, acquisition of businesses, development loans, construction loans and leases for various property types. He is the author of several articles that have appeared in the Indianapolis Business Journal and has frequently spoken for the International Conference of Shopping Center Law, ICLEF, and National Business Institute. Mr. Abrams is listed in Indiana Super Lawyers, Best Lawyers in America, and Chambers USA Leading Lawyers for Business. He is a member of the Indianapolis, Indiana State, and American bar associations; and the American College of Real Estate Attorneys (ACREL). DANIEL W. GRANQUIST is a sole practitioner, practicing in the areas of real estate, business, and estate planning. He is a member of the Porter County American Inn of Court where he has spoken to attorneys and other professionals in various CLE programs. Mr. Granquist also is a member of the Northwest Indiana Creative Investors Association, a real estate investment group. He earned his B.S. degree from Wheaton College, his J.D. degree from Valparaiso University School of Law, and his LL.M. degree from DePaul University School of Law. KASSANDRA GREEN is an attorney with Hocker & Associates LLC. She is experienced in all aspects of residential and commercial real estate, including investing, selling, purchasing, leasing and clearing title. Ms. Green also regularly drafts mortgages, promissory notes, deeds, for sale by owner contacts, releases, easements and leases. She routinely represents new and experienced real estate investors and small business owners. NORMAN R. NEWMAN is the senior partner with Benesch, Friedlander, Coplan & Aronoff LLP. He practices in the areas of real estate law, environmental law, and construction law; and is the author of numerous articles on these subjects. Mr. Newman has lectured on these topics for the Indiana Continuing Legal Education Forum (ICLEF), the International Council of Shopping Centers, and other organizations. He is a member of the American College of Real Estate Lawyers. Mr. Newman is listed in Who's Who in American Law and The Best Lawyers in America. He earned his J.D. degree, with distinction, from Indiana University School of Law and is now an adjunct professor there. (Indianapolis location)

MARY A. SLADE is the Indiana state counsel for First American Title Insurance Company, providing underwriting analysis and support for commercial and residential transactions. She has seven years of experience in private practice in creditor’s rights, bankruptcy, and real estate litigation and transactions. Ms. Slade has also served as a regional counsel in claims and underwriting for three national title insurance carriers in 16 states and the District of Columbia; as well as a deputy prosecuting attorney for Marion County, Indiana. She was a co-founder and the executive production editor for the Indiana International & Comparative Law Review. Ms. Slade has served three years as the education chair for the Indiana Land Title Association. Her programs on title insurance and real estate have been accredited for title insurance license or attorney license credit in Indiana, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Maryland, Virginia, and West Virginia. She is the co-editor of the Indiana State Bar Association Probate, Property and Real Estate newsletter. Ms. Slade is a member of the Indiana State Bar Association and currently serves as the 2017 chair-elect for the Probate Property and Real Estate Section.
