SETH CARROLL is a partner of Commonwealth Law Group, PLLC. He focuses his practice on litigation for clients and their families who have suffered serious injuries or death, catastrophic on-the-job injuries, and for those who have been discriminated against or deprived of their constitutional rights. Mr. Carroll has tried to verdict or settled numerous personal injury, discrimination, and workers' compensation cases. He has successfully represented his clients against companies of all sizes, including large multi-national corporations. Mr. Carroll earned his B.A. degree from Clemson University and his J.D. degree from the College of William & Mary.
DAVID B. HOLT is an attorney with The Brain Injury Law Center. His primary focus as a trial attorney is plaintiff's personal injury/wrongful death, traumatic brain injury litigation, car and motorcycle accidents, trucking accidents, medical malpractice, white collar criminal defense, and traffic cases. He also practices in the areas of business law and contract disputes, products liability, defamation, workers' compensation, and more. Mr. Holt has tried to verdict hundreds of jury trials, including many civil juries in the past several years, ending in awards of millions of dollars for his clients. As a prosecutor, he has given speeches and been an instructor of trial techniques around the country. He is admitted to the Virginia State Bar, U.S. District Court for the Eastern and Western districts of Virginia, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit. He is a member of the Hampton Bar Association, Virginia Bar Association, American Association for Justice, Virginia Trial Lawyers Association, National Brian Injury Trial Lawyers Association, and the Association of Plaintiff Interstate Trucking. Mr. Holt earned a B.A. degree from the University of Mary Washington and his J.D. degree from Regent University School of Law.
GREG KLEIN is a shareholder in the law firm of Taylor & Walker PC. Mr. Klein has experience in the areas of general civil litigation, criminal defense and domestic relations. He has appeared in the vast majority of state courts within the Hampton Roads area, including general district court, juvenile & domestic relations court and circuit court. Mr. Klein has also represented clients in both federal civil and criminal matters adjudicated in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia. He is also represents parties in disputes that arise from the employer-employee relationship. He has represented aggrieved employees whose rights, as guaranteed by various federal statues, have been violated including Title VII of the Civil Rights Act, Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), Age Discrimination in Employment Act (ADEA), Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), and Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA). Mr. Klein received his B.S. degree from Old Dominion University and his J.D. degree from Regent University School of Law. He is a member of the Virginia State Bar, Virginia Beach Bar Association, and the James Kent American Inn of Court (member, Executive Committee; and chair, Membership Committee).
SHANNON A. LAYMON-PECORARO is a shareholder at Hook Law Center, where she practices in the areas of elder law, estate and trust administration, special needs planning, long-term care planning, estate planning, asset protection planning, guardianships and conservatorship, and personal injury settlement consulting. Ms. Laymon-Pecoraro is a member of the Special Needs Alliance, a nonprofit organization of attorneys committed to helping individuals and their families with special needs. She is also a member of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys and the Virginia Academy of Elder Law Attorneys. Ms. Laymon-Pecoraro graduated, cum laude, from the University of Baltimore School of Law with a concentration in business law. In addition to a number of other activities, she was a staff editor of the University of Baltimore Law Forum, where she was published twice, and a fellow of the Maryland State Bar Association-University of Baltimore business law clerkship. Ms. Laymon-Pecoraro is a contributing author of the Special Needs Trust Handbook published by Wolters Kluwer.
COLLEEN M. QUINN is a director and equity owner in the law firm of Locke & Quinn, which recently received the Trial Lawyers Board of Regents 2015 Litigator Award featured on CNN and Best Law Firms in America 2015-17. She also is the owner of the Women’s Injury Law Center at Locke & Quinn. Litigating cases since 1989, Ms. Quinn represents clients in all aspects of personal injury, including motor vehicle accidents, premises and product liability cases, assaults and batteries, sexual assaults, wrongful deaths, industrial accidents and complex actions. She is especially familiar with serious injuries including sexual assaults, head injury or traumatic brain injury (TBI) cases, as well as spinal cord injury cases. Ms. Quinn brings a rare blend of prior experience in insurance defense and coverage issues and ongoing practice in employment law to her personal injury practice. Ms. Quinn is the recipient of numerous awards. She received her B.A. degree from William & Mary and her J.D. degree from the University of Virginia. She served as judicial clerk to the Honorable Harry L. Carrico, Chief Justice of the Virginia Supreme Court. She is a member of the Virginia Trial Lawyers Association-Employment/Civil Rights (co-chair 2012-14, 1997-99; Public Affairs co-chair 2011-12; Pro Bono co-chair 2010-2011; Diversity Committee co-chair, 2003-04); and serves/has served the CLE, Amicus, Insurance, Convention, Long Range Plan, and Amicus committees. Ms. Quinn regularly speaks to and trains both lawyer and non-lawyer groups and has served on numerous legal and community service boards.
