PAUL D. BEKMAN is a managing partner in the Baltimore law firm of Bekman, Marder & Adkins, LLC. He focuses his practice on handling serious personal injury and wrongful death cases, with special emphasis in the areas of medical negligence, products liability, maritime, and common carrier cases. Mr. Bekman is certified by the National Board of Trial Advocacy as a civil trial specialist. He is also certified by the American Board of Professional Liability Attorneys. Mr. Bekman is a frequent lecturer and writer of publications relating to trial advocacy, personal injury, wrongful death, and medical negligence issues. Mr. Bekman earned his B.A. and J.D. degrees from the University of Maryland. He is a past president of the Bar Association of Baltimore City, the Maryland State Bar Association, and the Maryland Trial Lawyers Association. Mr. Bekman is an advocate of the American Board of Trial Advocates; a fellow of the International Academy of Trial Lawyers; and a fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers, where he formerly served as a Regent of the College. In 2011, he was appointed secretary of the College. Mr. Bekman was also selected as one of eleven Living Legal Legends by the Bar Association of Baltimore City in its inaugural selection in 2011.
