Cherish De La Cruz helps families and small businesses create life and estate plans that save money, create peace of mind and prevent unnecessary stress during life's unexpected events. Ms. De La Cruz was initially inspired to pursue estate planning in 2013 after losing her aunt to appendix cancer. While taking care of her aunt's affairs, she realized first-hand the stress and hardship that is created when a loved one passes away and they do not have a comprehensive and customized plan. It is even more complicated when they are a small business owner. Today, this personal perspective and her extensive background in investments and life insurance guides her firm's estate planning process. Leadership in the Community is also a key value of De la Cruz Law, LLC. That is why Ms. De La Cruz is actively involved in several non-profit organizations; recently graduating from the Catholic Charities Atlanta Leadership Class, serving as Past President of the Georgia Asian Pacific American Bar Association, Founding Board Member of the Exit Planning Exchange Atlanta (2019-2020), Leadership Gwinnett Class of  2019, Chair of Elder Law Section of the Atlanta Bar Association (2019-2020) and Mosaic Georgia. Daniel A Hunt is the principal of the Law Offices of Daniel A. Hunt in Sacramento, California. Mr. Hunt focuses his practice in trust litigation, estate planning, trust and estate administration, forensic accounting, and probate cases. He also represents clients in California trust litigation and probate disputes. Mr. Hunt graduated with his B.A. degree from Brigham Young University and he earned his J.D. degree from McGeorge School of Law. He is a member of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys and the Sacramento Estate Planning Council. Mr. Hunt is currently serving as vice president of the Probate and Estates Section of the Sacramento County Bar Association.

Norman S Newmark is a partner in McCarthy, Leonard & Kaemmerer, L.C., a firm based in Town and Country, St. Louis County, Missouri. Mr. Newmark focuses his practice on tax and related corporate matters, probate, estate planning, and business succession. He represents individuals and businesses in tax controversies before the Internal Revenue Service, state tax departments, and various tax tribunals, including the U.S. Tax Court. Mr. Newmark also represents individuals and corporate trustees in probate administration and litigation cases. He has published articles in periodicals such as The Banking Law Journal; the Journal of the Missouri Bar; the University of Missouri Business, Entrepreneurship & Tax Law Review; and the Oklahoma Bar Journal on various tax related topics, including mergers and acquisitions, the new IRS audit and collection rules for partnerships, powers of appointment in estate planning, interstate sales and use taxation after the Supreme Court decision in South Dakota v. Wayfair, and the tax aspects of federal healthcare laws. Mr. Newmark is a frequent lecturer at local and national continuing education events for attorneys and accountants. As a member of The Missouri Bar's Probate and Trust Division, he drafted key provisions of the Missouri Uniform Powers of Appointment Act enacted into law by the Missouri General Assembly. Mr. Newmark provides pro-bono legal services to several charities and was listed in the Missouri Bar Pro Bono Wall of Fame for 2011 and 2013 for his charitable efforts, and received the Lifetime Achievement Award for his service to Heat Up St. Louis, Inc., a regional non-profit organization. He earned his B.A. degree, cum laude, from Boston University, and both his J.D. degree (Order of the Coif), and LL.M. degree in taxation from the Washington University School of Law. Mr. Newmark is a member of The Missouri Bar, Oklahoma Bar Association, and the American Bar Association (Section on Taxation); and is admitted to practice before the U.S. Tax Court.

Kyle Robbins is the founder and sole owner of The Law Offices of Kyle Robbins, PLLC. Mr. Robbins practices in the areas of trusts, power of attorney, wills and living wills, probate and estate planning. He received his B.S. degree from Oklahoma State University and his J.D. degree from the University of Texas School of Law. Mr. Robbins is a member of the State Bar of Texas, the Estate Planning Council of Central Texas, Austin Young Lawyers Association, and the Travis County Bar Association.

 

Kenneth A Votre is a partner with Votre & Associates, P.C., in New Haven, where he concentrates his practice in domestic and international taxation; estate planning; tax litigation, including professional liability matters; licensing of trademarks; copyrights and patents; distributional and franchise law; insurance coverage matters; hospital and health care finance; and international trade and business transactions. He has litigation experience trying civil jury cases before state and federal courts. Mr. Votre earned his B.E.S. degree from the University of Bridgeport; his J.D. degree, magna cum laude, from the University of Bridgeport; his LL.M. degree from Georgetown University; and his LL.M. degree in taxation from the University of Bridgeport School of Law (now Quinnipiac). He is an adjunct professor of law at the Quinnipiac College School of Law, teaching European union law and international civil litigation in U.S. courts. Mr. Votre has written numerous publications and has lectured for various professional organizations on the process of international litigation in U.S. courts and, in particular, on the Hague Convention for Service of Process and the Hague Convention on Obtaining Evidence Abroad. Mr. Votre was appointed to the Standards of Tax Practice Committee, and the Civil and Criminal Tax Penalties committees of the Section of Taxation of the American Bar Association. He is a member of the American, Connecticut (member, Executive Committee of the Section of Taxation), and New York State bar associations.
