ROMAN ARCE is a member of the law firm of Marshall & Melhorn, LLC, where he focuses exclusively in labor and employment law. From 1992 to the present, Mr. Arce has practiced management-side labor law; construction industry labor law; employment litigation in state and federal courts; employment discrimination/harassment; workers' compensation; litigation under the FMLA, FLSA, ADA, OSHA, ERISA, Multiemployer Pension Plan Amendments Act, WARN Act, and affirmative action; wage and hour; and Ohio prevailing wage law compliance. He is a member of the Labor and Employment Law sections of the American, Ohio State, and Toledo bar associations. Mr. Arce earned his B.A. degree from the University of Notre Dame and his J.D. degree from the University of Michigan Law School.
ELIZABETH L. BOLDUC is an attorney with Bugbee & Conkle, LLP. She concentrates her practice in the areas of labor and employment law, representing employers in all aspects of the employment relationship, including counseling employers through complex employment matters, litigation, and appellate work. Ms. Bolduc is an active member of the Society for Human Resource Management, the Northwest Ohio Human Resources Association, the Toledo Women’s Bar Association, the Labor and Employment Section of the Ohio State Bar Association, and the Labor and Employment Section and Young Lawyers Committee of the Toledo Bar Association. She earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Toledo and her J.D. degree from the University of Toledo College of Law.
BRIAN K. BRITTAIN is a partner and one of the founders and vice president/treasurer of Ross, Brittain & Schonberg Co., L.P.A. Mr. Brittain oversees the firm’s workers’ compensation and OSHA practices. Primarily, he supervises the management, defense and administration of workers’ compensation matters for more than 1,400 of the firm’s clients. In addition, he is highly regarded in this field for his unique abilities in aiding both state-funded and self-insured companies to reduce overall workers’ compensation liabilities and expenditures. Since the firm’s 1991 beginning, Mr. Brittain has been a driving force behind the development of workers’ compensation group rating plans. He oversees all actuarial analyses for group projections and directs the claims administration for all new group members. He regularly conducts seminars relating to OSHA workplace safety and workers’ compensation matters and has authored numerous articles relating to the current Ohio Workers’ Compensation statute and potential future changes. He earned his B.A. degree, summa cum laude, from Mount Union College; his J.D. degree from Case Western Reserve University; and his M.B.A. degree from Cleveland State University. He is an Ohio State Bar Association certified specialist of workers’ compensation law, a member of the Ohio State Bar Association (Labor Law and Workers’ Compensation Section), and a member of the Geauga County Bar Association and the Self-Insurers’ Group of Ohio.
CHASTITY L. CHRISTY is an attorney with Lazzaro Law Firm, LLC, where she represents individual employees and groups of employees in wage and hour cases, collective actions, and class actions, including claims brought pursuant to the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA). Ms. Christy has dedicated her more than 15 years of practice to representing employees in various discrimination, sexual harassment, retaliation, and wage and hour cases. She has litigated hundreds of cases on behalf of employees in various state and federal courts, as well as in arbitrations, in front of the Ohio State Personnel Board of Review, Ohio Court of Appeals, and the Supreme Court of Ohio. Ms. Christy earned her B.A. degree, summa cum laude, from Clarion University of Pennsylvania and her J.D. degree from Case Western Reserve University School of Law.
ELIZABETH A. CROSBY is a partner with the law firm of Buckley King LPA. Ms. Crosby is the first woman attorney in Ohio certified as a dual specialist in workers' compensation and labor and employment law after meeting the extensive requirements and high standards of the Ohio State Bar Association's Specialty Board. Ms. Crosby is a frequent lecturer on all areas affecting workplace conduct and regularly writes articles for the business and legal community on compliance with state and federal workplace requirements. She is a graduate of the University of Akron and earned her law degree from Cleveland State University, Cleveland-Marshall College of Law.
FRANK T. GEORGE is an attorney with McCarthy, Lebit, Crystal & Liffman Co., LPA, and a member of the firm’s litigation group and primarily practices in the area of employment law. Mr. George is focused on being an advocate and trusted advisor to victims of discrimination and other unlawful behavior. He is admitted to practice in Ohio and the U.S. District Court, Northern District of Ohio. Mr. George is a member of the Ohio State Bar Association and the Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Association. DAVID C. PETNO is vice president and employee benefits consultant with USI Insurance Services. Mr. Petno has been a licensed agent and consultant since 2002. Prior to joining USI, he helped to build Accelerated Benefits into one of the largest, most successful employee benefit consulting firms in the region. Mr. Petno has been active in the State and National Association of Health Underwriters, serving as legislative chair and public relations chair. He is a well-recognized speaker on many topics related to employee benefits, including The Affordable Care Act, cost control, reporting mandates, compliance, ethics, and innovations. From 1997 to 2002, Mr. Petno was president of HealthRays Alliance in Cleveland, Ohio, where he worked intensively with the largest non-profit retirement communities in NE Ohio. Prior to that, he was vice president of planning and development with Vantage Healthcare Network in Meadville, Pennsylvania. Mr. Petno has a B.A. degree in business from Calvin College, and a master’s degree in hospital and health administration from The Ohio State University.
