This course has been approved in accordance with the requirements of the New York State Continuing Legal Education Board for a maximum of 3.50 credit hours. 3.5 hours can be applied to the areas of professional practice requirement. This nontraditional format program is appropriate for experienced attorneys.
KIMBERLY D. BARONE BADEN is a member at Motley Rice LLC. She manages the nursing home litigation team where she is committed to representing the elderly, our nation's most defenseless population. Ms. Barone Baden has litigated numerous nursing home and assisted living facility cases. She is also a frequent lecturer on issues related to nursing home litigation. (Published case: Grant v. Magnolia Manor-Greenwood, Inc., 678 S.E.2d 435 (S.C. 2009). Ms. Barone Baden also takes on large pharmaceutical companies that put drugs on the market knowing they are unsafe for consumers. She currently serves as co-lead counsel for In Re Zofran (Ondansetron) Products Liability Litigation MDL 2657 and is on the Plaintiffs’ Executive Committee for In Re Viagra (Sildenafil Citrate) Products Liability Litigation MDL 2691. Ms. Barone Baden is a member of the American Association for Justice, the American Bar Association and the South Carolina Association for Justice. She earned her B.A. degree, cum laude, from Clemson University and her J.D. degree from California Western School of Law.
MARTHA MARIE EASTMAN is the principal of Eastman Law Office, where she practices in the areas of medical malpractice, nursing home abuse and neglect, general civil litigation, and personal injury. She is a member of the Kentucky, Tennessee and North Carolina bar associations; The Association of Trial Lawyers of America; the North Carolina Academy of Trial Lawyers; and the Kentucky Academy of Trial Attorneys. Ms. Eastman earned her B.S. degree from Kent State University and her J.D. degree, cum laude, from the University of Louisville.
