PATRICIA M. MONAGHAN practices in the areas of business organizations and contract law. Her work includes a concentration on representing and advising licensed medical cannabis producers and manufacturers, and producer and manufacturer applicants under New Mexico's Lynn and Erin Compassionate Use Act. She has successfully represented applicants for medical cannabis production licenses since the first year they were issued in 2009, as well as manufacturer licenses and has successfully petitioned for the recognition of additional qualifying conditions before the New Mexico Medical Advisory Board. Ms. Monaghan is a member of the State Bar of New Mexico, the American Bar Association, Albuquerque Bar Association, and the National Cannabis Bar Association. She also is a member of the Board of Directors and chair-elect of the Cannabis Law Section of the State Bar of New Mexico and served as a member of the 2018 -2019 New Mexico Cannabis Accessibility and Affordability Task Force. Ms. Monaghan is an active member of the NORML, National Legal Committee and the Drug Policy Alliance. She has an M.B.A. degree and received her J.D. degree from the University of New Mexico School of Law.
