ALBERT J. DERBES IV is a founding member and the co-manager of The Derbes Law Firm, L.L.C. He has practiced for law for more than 25 years, with a heavy emphasis on all commercial matters, whether transactions or litigation. Venues for his commercial litigation practice include Louisiana, federal and bankruptcy courts. His other areas of practice include commercial bankruptcy, real estate, succession litigation, and entity law. Mr. Derbes is a frequent speaker on business related topics. He is licensed to practice in Louisiana and Texas. He earned his B.A. degree from Rice University and his J.D. degree from Tulane School of Law. Mr. Derbes is a member of many professional organizations, including the Louisiana State, Jefferson Parish and Federal bar associations. Additionally, he is a member of the Board of Directors of the New Orleans Bar Association.
