Kerri E. Chewning is a partner with Archer & Greiner P.C., where she is a trial attorney in the firm's litigation department and is a member of the intellectual property group. Ms. Chewning has extensive experience in complex litigation in the federal and state courts of New Jersey, as well as in the Third Circuit. Her practice is devoted to the defense of class actions. She also represents clients in intellectual property litigation, and has been involved in patent litigation and the defense of indemnification claims arising from patent infringement settlements and judgments. Ms. Chewning has litigated trademark and Lanham Act claims, unfair competition and misappropriation of trade secret claims, and has represented clients in litigation before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board. She also handles the defense of civil rights litigation. Ms. Chewning is approved by the district court to serve as a mediator for the District of New Jersey. Ms. Chewning earned her B.S. degree from Rutgers University and J.D. degree from Rutgers School of Law, Camden.
Richard D. Hodsdon recently retired after over 33 years as an assistant Washington County attorney with the Washington County Attorney's Office in Stillwater, Minnesota. He represented Washington County in all aspects of civil law practice and also acted as a criminal prosecutor. Mr. Hodsdon represented the county sheriff and the elected county attorney, with particular emphasis with the sheriff's office. He remains a consultant and legal educator, providing consulting services to public criminal justice and corrections administrators, particularly sheriff's offices, on policy development and operations. Mr. Hodsdon is an instructor in a wide range of civil and criminal topics, including data practices and personnel, employment and labor law, discrimination and civil rights law, corrections law, and liability and civil commitments. He is an instructor for the International Academy of Public Safety, National Institute of Corrections and the Minnesota State College System. Mr. Hodsdon is an adjunct faculty member for the Northwestern University Center for Public Safety. He is counsel to the Minnesota Sheriff's Association and provides legal advice and representation to the association and its members; including emergency operations, patrol, jail personnel and employment law, and all other matters relating to operation of the sheriff's office, as well as management of a non-profit organization. In this position, Mr. Hodsdon serves as corporate counsel to the association, as well as assists individual members. He serves as a citizen member and chair of the board that licenses Minnesota private detectives and protective agents. Prior to Washington County, Mr. Hodsdon spent a year in private practice and eight years as an assistant Minnesota Attorney General. He earned his B.A. degree from Concordia College, his J.D. degree from the University of Minnesota Law School, and his master's degree in public administration from Hamline University. Mr. Hodsdon is a member of the Minnesota State Bar Association, Minnesota Sheriffs Association, and the National Sheriffs Association (Legal Advisors Committee); and is admitted to practice before the Minnesota Supreme Court, federal courts and the United States Supreme Court.
Matthew B. Jorden is a founding partner of Williams & Jorden law offices, where his practice focuses on plaintiff's personal injury, criminal defense and representation of licensed professionals in administrative proceedings. Mr. Jorden has handled complex litigation involving products liability, transportation accidents, and governmental liability. Additionally, he has defended clients in high profile cases prosecuted by the SEC and has had the opportunity to argue before the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals. He is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania, California, the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania, the Third Circuit Court of Appeals, the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals, and the U.S. Supreme Court. Mr. Jorden earned his B.A. degree from Allegheny College and his J.D. degree from Thomas M. Cooley School of Law, where he graduated cum laude.
Jeffrey M. Scott is a partner in the litigation department of the law firm of Archer & Greiner P.C. He provides legal representation to local municipal and state employees in areas of police administration, social services, corrections, labor and employment, and risk management. Mr. Scott has extensive experience in the defense of catastrophic injury claims involving gunshot wounds, in-custody deaths, suicide, school violence, physical and sexual abuse of children in foster care, catastrophic motor vehicle accidents and excited delirium. He is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania and New Jersey and before the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania, Supreme Court of New Jersey, United States District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, and the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey. Mr. Scott earned his B.A. degree from Temple University and his J.D. degree from the University of Dayton School of Law.
Lonnie C. Simmons is a member in the law firm of DiPiero Simmons McGinley & Bastress, PLLC, in Charleston. Mr. Simmons’ practice includes representing people who were wrongfully fired from their jobs, veterans and other state employees who were denied retirement benefits, victims of civil rights violations, people who were wrongfully convicted of crimes, and individuals injured or killed as the result of some other person’s negligence. He also represents a number of professionals, including physicians, doctors, lawyers, and college professors. Mr. Simmons earned his B.A., B.S. and J.D. degrees from West Virginia University.
