ROBERT D. KINGSLAND JR. is a founding partner in the law firm of Dempsey and Kingsland, P.C., in Kansas City, Missouri. Mr. Kingsland’s practice is limited to medical negligence, catastrophic injury, products liability, auto collision, and other serious personal injury cases. A frequent speaker on topics related to civil trial practice, Mr. Kingsland has also published various articles on trial advocacy. His peer-reviewed article, “Gallbladder Surgery Gone Wrong - Handling the Bowel Perforation Case,” appeared in the October 2014 issue of the nationally circulated magazine, Trial. Mr. Kingsland is an associate member of the American Board of Trial Advocates. He has also been selected for membership in Super Lawyers of Missouri and Kansas. He is a long-standing member of the Board of Governors of the Missouri Association of Trial Attorneys and a former board member of the Jackson County Law Library. Mr. Kingsland is licensed to practice in both Missouri and Kansas, and he is a member of the bar of the United States Supreme Court, among many others. Mr. Kingsland earned his B.A. and J.D. degrees from Georgetown University.
SALVADOR A. MUNGIA is a partner with the law firm of Gordon Thomas Honeywell, in their Tacoma, Washington office. He represents a variety of individuals in personal injury litigation with an emphasis in medical malpractice, including nursing home negligence, wrongful death claims, and severe injuries. He also represents businesses in commercial, contractual, and real property disputes. Mr. Mungia is a past president of the Washington State Bar Association, the Western States Bar Conference, the Tacoma-Pierce County Bar Association, and Legal Aid for Washington. He has been listed in Best Lawyers in America for the past seven years, and for the latest edition, he was named a Best Lawyer in the fields of personal injury litigation for the plaintiffs, civil rights law, appellate practice, and commercial litigation. Mr. Mungia has been designated as a Super Lawyer by Washington Law and Politics and as a Top 100 Trial Lawyer in Washington State by the American Trial Lawyers Association. He is a member of the American Board of Trial Advocates and Litigation Counsel of America. Mr. Mungia has taught CLE courses on trial advocacy and skills for numerous organizations including the National Institute for Trial Advocacy, the Washington State Bar Association, the Tacoma-Pierce County Bar Association, the Washington State Association for Justice, the Law Society of British Columbia, Litigation Counsel of America, and the Kessler-Eidson Program at Emory Law School. He graduated from Georgetown University Law Center with honors.
JAMES K. THEISEN is an attorney in the Rockford office of Hupy and Abraham. With more than a decade of experience, he handles personal injury claims. Mr. Theisen earned his J.D. degree from Southern Illinois University School of Law, where he received numerous awards and scholarships, including the Phi Delta Phi Award for outstanding achievement in legal ethics and the Academic Achievement Scholarship. He also served as a student ambassador for Southern Illinois University School of Law and participated in William & Mary School of Law’s summer program in Madrid, Spain. Mr. Theisen is licensed to practice in Illinois’ state and federal courts, as well as the state of Missouri. He also is a member of the Winnebago County and the Illinois State bar associations.
