JACK P. BURDEN is a shareholder in the law firm of Backus, Carranza & Burden, and is a litigation attorney with practice emphasis in general liability, product liability, food liability and commercial matters. His clients range from Fortune 200 companies to local business owners in Nevada. Mr. Burden is admitted to the State Bar of Nevada; the U.S. District Court, District of Nevada; and the U.S. Supreme Court. He currently serves as an author of the State Bar of Nevada Jury Instructions. He is also active in the State Bar of Nevada’s Continuing Education Committee and the Canyon Springs High School Advisory Board. Mr. Burden earned his B.S. degree from the University of Nevada, Reno's Reynolds School of Journalism, and his J.D. degree from Texas Southern University in Houston, Texas.
KEVIN R. DIAMOND is a shareholder at Thorndal Armstrong Delk Balkenbush & Eisinger. He has been a civil trial litigator in Southern Nevada since 1993. Mr. Diamond primarily has practiced in the areas of personal injury defense, products liability, premises liability, business law, general civil litigation, bad faith, construction defect litigation and real estate law. He has had a vast array of clients, including hotels, construction companies, transit companies, insurance companies, fitness clubs, grocery stores, restaurants, insurance agents, shopping malls and apartment complexes. Mr. Diamond has been involved in the Trial by Peers Program, served as a mentor for UNLV students and judges mock trial competitions. He is a court appointed arbitrator, short trial jdge and mediator. Mr. Diamond also has been a professor for UNLV's Hotel College.
DAVID F. SAMPSON is the owner of the Law Office of David Sampson LLC and is a certified specialist in personal injury law. His focus is on litigation and he often is associated as counsel to take cases to trial. Mr. Sampson has received numerous awards over the years recognizing his excellence as a practitioner and litigator. He is admitted to practice in Nevada and Oregon, and before the United States District Court District of Nevada and the United States Courts Ninth Judicial Circuit. Mr. Sampson is a member of the Nevada Justice Association, State Bar of Nevada, and Clark County Bar Association. He earned his B.A. degree from Brigham Young University and his J.D. degree from Brigham Young University, J. Reuben Clark Law School.
JOEL Z. SCHWARZ is of counsel at Dickinson Wright PLLC. He primarily practices in commercial litigation, commercial landlord-tenant litigation, intellectual property litigation, and civil appeals. Mr. Schwarz has successfully tried cases in both state and federal courts in Nevada. He is admitted to practice law in Nevada and before the U.S. District Court (Nevada), the U.S. Court of Appeals (Ninth Circuit) and the U.S. Court of Appeals (Federal Circuit). Mr. Schwarz earned his B.S. degree, summa cum laude, from St. Louis University and his J.D. degree, magna cum laude, from the University of Illinois College of Law.
