WILLIAM J. AMANN is a partner with Braucher & Amann, PLLC, where he concentrates his practice in the areas of bankruptcy, creditors’ rights, commercial litigation, and real estate. Mr. Amann regularly represents national and regional creditors in bankruptcy courts and the state courts in Massachusetts and New Hampshire. He has recently been admitted to the Southern District Federal Court for New York, representing a Massachusetts business in a contract dispute. Prior to joining the firm, he served as legal counsel to a Chapter 7 Bankruptcy Trustee for the District of New Hampshire. In addition, he has considerable experience in the areas of commercial turnarounds, debt restructuring, equitable subordination, debt re-characterization, asset sales, title insurance, real estate conveyancing, land use, receiverships, premises liability, employment law, evictions, and probate administration. Mr. Amann served on the Board of Directors for the City of Manchester's Public Library Literacy Fund for two years, starting in 2009. He is an editor for the American Bankruptcy Institute and is an annual editor for the New Hampshire Bar Association's Supreme Court At-a-Glance article series, and regularly speaks before professional and trade groups on the topics of bankruptcy, creditors’ rights, and real estate. Prior to practicing law, Mr. Amann was employed by Fidelity Investments as a trade resolution specialist; by Ford Motor Credit Company as an account executive and branch legal liaison; and he is a former police officer. He earned his B.A. degree from Saint Anselm College and his J.D. degree from Massachusetts School of Law.
KIMBERLY A. JACKSON is with The Robilee, Staffred & Emile Group located in Golden, Colorado. She has worked with both environmental organizations and oil and gas operators on issues of land use, regulatory compliance, ownership rights (surface, mineral, and royalty), conservation easements, air quality regulations, NEPA compliance, and public health and safety issues as they apply to populations impacted by mineral extraction. Ms. Jackson is a licensed nurse, earning her PN certification from the Community College of Denver; her B.A. degree from the University of Colorado; and both her J.D. and LL.M. degrees from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law. She is currently licensed in both New Mexico and North Dakota.
WARREN R. POWER is a founding member of Power Law, P.C., and has more than 30 years of professional legal experience focusing on eminent domain and real estate litigation. Mr. Power has represented numerous state and local governments in their acquisitions, and he has represented property owners against various local governments, as well as against the United States of America. He has tried more than 60 jury trials, has handled numerous mediations, and has served as a mediator in eminent domain matters. Mr. Power is admitted to practice law in Georgia and Virginia, and he has been admitted pro hac vice in Alabama and Tennessee. Mr. Power has lectured numerous times over the past 16 years. He received his undergraduate degrees from Christopher Newport College in Virginia and his J.D. degree from Mercer University’s School of Law, where he also served as an adjunct professor teaching real estate transactions for three years.
DAVID A. WEISSMANN is the founder of the law firm of Weissmann Zucker Euster Morochnik & Garber P.C., where he practices in the areas of commercial real estate, secured lending, corporate, and business law. Mr. Weissmann is the former chairman of the eCLE Committee for Real Property and Probate Section of the American Bar Association. He is a frequent speaker on real estate law issues, including "A Response to Disaster: Changed Conditions on Termination of Property Restrictions and Covenants," ABA Real Property and Probate Meeting, San Diego; "Title Issues on Purchase Contracts," National Business Institute; "Understanding the Insurance Provisions of Commercial Leases and Mortgage Loan Documentation;" and 19th Annual Real Property Law Institute, Sea Island, Georgia. Mr. Weissmann also wrote Construction Lending, ABA Real Property & Probate; and Removing Restrictive Covenants as Burdens to a Disaster Response, ABA Real Property & Probate. He earned his B.A. degree, with distinction and Echols Scholar, from the University of Virginia; and his J.D. degree, cum laude, from the University of Georgia, where he served on the Law Review and was the recipient of the American Jurisprudence Award for constitutional law.
