Presenter: Richard H. Willis
RICHARD H. WILLIS is the managing partner with the Columbia law firm of Bowman and Brooke LLP. Mr. Willis is an accomplished trial lawyer with more than 35 years of experience practicing in the areas of product liability defense, environmental litigation, toxic torts, class actions and commercial litigation. He has acted as lead counsel in trials throughout the Southeast, and has argued appeals in Third, Fourth, Sixth and Eleventh circuits and all state appellate courts in which he is admitted to practice. Mr. Willis is an adjunct professor at the University of South Carolina, where he teaches trial advocacy. He is a member of the South Carolina Bar, the State Bar of Georgia, the Georgia Defense Lawyers Association, the South Carolina Defense Trial Attorneys Association, the Defense Research Institute, the International Association of Defense Counsel, the American Board of Trial Advocates, the John Belton O'Neall American Inn of Court and the American College of Trial Lawyers. Mr. Willis earned his B.A. degree from the University of the South and his J.D. degree from the University of South Carolina School of Law.
