JAMES J. BROWN has been the director of sales and marketing for Bock & Clark, Inc., since July of 2014. He has been with the company since 1983 working within all aspects of the survey business. Prior to his current position, he served as director of Bock & Clark’s National Surveyors Network for 15 years overseeing, managing and developing the staff and project teams. Mr. Brown has been involved with the National Network since 1994 where he has managed hundreds of projects and coordinated and reviewed thousands of surveys. He started his career as a field technician, drafter and then manager of the Mortgage Location Services Division. He was instrumental in opening three branch offices in Ohio and developing other offices in other states. He has spent the last several years working on business development with sales and marketing divisions. Mr. Brown has offered presentations on ALTA/ACSM land title surveys and survey review to hundreds of law firms, bar associations, CLE providers, corporations and law schools across the country. He has been a co-author for the last several versions of the Bock & Clark, Inc., Handbook for ALTA/ACSM Land Title Surveys. He holds a bachelor's degree in education from Kent State University. DAVID A. FREEBURG is a partner in the Cleveland law firm of Freeburg Law Firm, L.P.A., where he practices in the areas of real estate law, real estate litigation and business litigation. Mr. Freeburg is a certified specialist by the Ohio State Bar Association in the area of residential real property law. He is the owner of Specialist Title Agency, LLC, and is a licensed title agent in the state of Ohio. He is a member of the Ohio Land Title Association, Ohio State Bar Association and the Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Association. Mr. Freeburg earned his B.A. degree from the State University of New York at Buffalo and his J.D. degree from Cleveland-Marshall College of Law. (Independence location)
DONALD P. LEONE is an attorney with City Title Co. He has been an attorney for more than 40 years. In addition to his title work, Mr. Leone also deals with oil and gas related issues, and maintains a general practice in real estate law, business law and probate law. He is the legal representative to the Youngstown Columbiana Association of Realtors and has served as an instructor in real estate law for Youngstown State University’s Continuing Education program for more than 20 years. Mr. Leone is a member of the Ohio State, Mahoning and American bar associations. He earned his B.A. degree from Youngstown State University and his J.D. degree from South Texas College of Law. MICHAEL A. WYPASEK is the Ohio agency counsel for Fidelity National Title Group, working out of the Cleveland office. Mr. Wypasek coordinates and teaches at the yearly title agent seminars for agents of the Fidelity National family of companies, is a frequent instructor for various CLE courses, and also does individual training of agency employees on an as needed and requested basis. He is a past trustee of the Ohio Land Title Association. He was admitted to practice in Ohio in 1983 and in the Federal District Court in 1984. From 1983 through 1995, he was in private practice with an emphasis in real estate and probate matters. Mr. Wypasek started in the title industry in 1995 as an assistant general counsel at a large commercial agency in Cleveland, and joined Chicago Title as agency counsel in 1998. Mr. Wypasek has a B.S. degree in criminal justice from the University of Dayton and his J.D. degree from Cleveland-Marshall College of Law. (Independence location)
