PERRY A. CRAFT is a sole practitioner in Nashville. Since 1978, he has dedicated his life to helping people in need. Mr. Craft has tried, settled, or resolved numerous civil and criminal cases in state and federal courts, representing individuals and businesses in matters ranging from immigration, automobile accidents or car wrecks, personal injury, consumer protection, false claims, identity theft, divorce, child custody, trucking accidents from big rigs or tractor trailers, construction, contracts, and anti-trust to securities fraud. He has represented teachers and administrators before school boards, administrative judges, and the state board of education. In addition, Mr. Craft has negotiated the buying and selling of businesses and then counseled businesses regarding their structure. After graduating from the University of Tennessee College of Law, he served as deputy states attorney general, assistant states attorney general, and senior counsel for Tennessee.
KEITH C. DENNEN is a member of the Nashville law firm of Farris Bobango, PLC, where his main areas of practice are litigation, franchise law, hospital law, health care, commercial law, corporate law, intellectual property, and employment. He is a frequent lecturer on ethics and has spoken to various groups, including the American Bar Association's Forum on Franchising. Mr. Dennen is the editor of the Tennessee Ethics Handbook - 2nd edition. He is a former chair of the American Bar Association's Young Lawyers Ethics and Professionalism Committee. Mr. Dennen earned his B.B.A. and J.D. degrees from the University of Memphis.
JOSHUA E. HEDRICK is a senior manager with Kraft Analytics, LLC, an affiliate of KraftCPAs, that focuses on valuation, forensic and transaction advisory services. Mr. Hedrick’s valuation experience includes business valuations, equity interests, debt instruments, intellectual property and other intangible assets for investment, lending, managerial planning, compliance, accounting, tax, marital dissolution, restructuring and litigation purposes. His forensic experience includes working with attorneys related to valuation issues, transactional disputes, economic damages, intellectual property, corporate investigations, employee fraud and insurance coverage. Mr. Hedrick’s transaction advisory experience includes valuations, fairness opinions, due diligence and transaction structuring support related to business sales, asset sales, M&A transactions, equity investments and lending transactions. Other consulting experience includes industry and competitive analysis, business strategy, compensation studies, and capital project analysis. Mr. Hedrick began his career in the banking industry. He is a Certified Valuation Analyst (CVA); and he received his M.B.A. degree from Appalachian State University, and his post-masters certificate in financial analysis at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro.
JESSICA D. SCOUTEN is the senior manager with KraftCPAs PLLC, and has more than a decade of public accounting and litigation support experience. She works primarily with financially distressed enterprises and business units where she specializes in investigative accounting matters, including fraud investigations, forensic accounting and bankruptcy. Her case work has ranged from internal investigations of accounting and financial reporting irregularities to more intensive investigations of alleged fraud and other misconduct subject to litigation. Ms. Scouten is skilled in data mining, data analytics, and other areas of electronic discovery. Most recently, she has led a team of more than 50 staff assisting a law firm in the investigation of alleged white collar crimes where more than 9 million emails and other documents are being mined and analyzed. Ms. Scouten is a certified public accountant (CPA), certified fraud examiner (CFE); master analyst in financial forensics, forensic accounting specialty (MAFF) and has passed the certified insolvency and restructuring advisor (CIRA) exam and is awaiting certification. She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), Tennessee Society of Certified Public Accountants (TSCPA), TSCPA Scholarship & Awards Committee, National Association of Certified Valuation Analysts (NACVA), Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE), associate member, Turnaround Management Association (TMA), Association of Insolvency and Restructuring Advisors (AIRA), and Nashville Conflict Resolution Center, board member & treasurer. Ms. Scouten received her B.S. degree, magna cum laude in accounting from Messiah College.
JK SIMMS leads the employment law practice at the law firm of Thompson Burton PLLC. His practice is devoted to serving his clients both from a litigation avoidance and litigation defense standpoint. Mr. Simms has extensive experience representing companies and individuals on all areas of employment law. He has also handled appeals at the state and federal level, including briefing and arguing an appeal before a sixteen-judge en banc panel at the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit. He is also admitted to practice before the United States Supreme Court. Mr. Simms was recognized in the 2017, 2018, and 2019 editions of Best Lawyers in America for his high caliber work in the practice area of employment law-management. He wasÂ recognized as Best of the Bar by the Nashville Business Journal in 2015 and 2016. Mr. Simms has also been recognized as a Super Lawyer by the Super Lawyers publication every year since 2014. He earned his undergraduate degree, magna cum laude, from Lipscomb University and his J.D. degree from the University of Tennessee College of Law.
