STEPHEN E. ALLOY, JD, MBA, CLU, ChFC, MSFS, is an advanced markets specialist with Mutual of Omaha Insurance Company, with more than 35 years of experience in the legal and insurance industries. His primary focus areas are life insurance planning for business owners, business succession planning, business entity planning, estate tax planning, non-tax aspects of estate planning, and wealth building outside the business. Mr. Alloy practiced law in Chicago for 20 years, focusing in the areas of estate planning, business succession and real estate. In 2000, he combined his law practice with an insurance and financial services practice and for several years conducted seminars on estate and financial planning. Now, as an advanced markets specialist with Mutual of Omaha, he is able to bring his legal background into the insurance agency, carving out an expertise in advanced markets. Mr. Alloy has taught many continuing education courses for agents as well as advanced concept, product and sales training. He has earned the following academic credentials: B.A. degree in English/creative writing from the University of Iowa; J.D. degree from Loyola University of Chicago School of Law; M.B.A. degree from the J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management, Northwestern University; and M.S. degree in Financial Services (MSFS) from The American College. CATHERINE DUNN WHITTINGHILL is an attorney at the law firm of Marks, Clare & Richards, LLC, in Omaha, Nebraska, where she practices in the areas of estate planning, probate and family law. She earned her B.A. degree, cum laude, in political science at Trinity University in San Antonio, Texas; and she earned her J.D. degree at Catholic University’s Columbus School of Law in Washington, D.C. Ms. Dunn Whittinghill is a member of the Nebraska State Bar Association, the Omaha Bar Association, and the Robert M. Spire American Inn of Court; and she has been admitted to practice in the U.S. District Court for District of Nebraska.
STEPHEN P. SCHMIDT is an attorney in the Omaha law firm of Carlson & Burnett, LLP. Mr. Schmidt is an experienced estate planning attorney and has focused on asset protection strategies with a wide range of estate planning techniques. He has lectured often on various estate planning topics and trained many allied professionals in the latest strategies. Mr. Schmidt graduated, cum laude, from Creighton Law School in 1991, earning his J.D. degree, and is licensed to practice law in Nebraska and Iowa.
