SARAH J. BARNES is an attorney and trust officer with Bank of Sun Prairie in Sun Prairie, Wisconsin, where she handles all types of trust and estate administration matters. She previously was in private practice where she practiced in the areas of estate planning, probate, elder law, and frequently served as a court appointed Guardian ad litem in guardianship matters. Ms. Barnes earned her B.A. degree from Edgewood College and her J.D. degree from Marquette University Law School. Her professional memberships include State Bar of Wisconsin, Dane and Sauk County bar associations, Legal Association of Women, and the Madison Estate Planning Council. Ms. Barnes is admitted to practice in Wisconsin.
MICHAEL J. MENNINGER is an attorney at the Gudorf Law Group, LLC. Mr. Menninger has more than a decade of practice experience with an emphasis on estate planning, including farm planning, planning for special needs, and planning for same-sex couples. He also has an extensive background in estate, trust, and guardianship litigation. Mr. Menninger is licensed in Ohio, Indiana and Kentucky; the Sixth and Seventh circuits for the U.S. Court of Appeals; the Northern and Southern districts of Ohio; Eastern and Western districts of Kentucky; and Southern District of Indiana U.S. District courts. Mr. Menninger was named a Rising Star by Ohio's Super Lawyers, and is dedicated to continuing to refine and share his professional skills. He has served as faculty for a number of legal seminars, and enjoys teaching in both the context of educating clients and helping other professionals develop their legal knowledge. When not working with clients or teaching, Mr. Menninger serves on the Board of Directors for Charlie’s Kids, Inc., a nonprofit organization which advocates SIDS awareness and safe-sleep practices. He is also actively involved with the Reds Community Fund, the charitable arm of the Cincinnati Reds. He earned his J.D. degree from Northern Kentucky University Salmon P. Chase College of Law, and his B.A. degree, magna cum laude, from Saint Louis University.
