DANIEL C. CARR is an attorney at Royal, P.C. Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Carr worked at the Massachusetts Commission Against Discrimination, which gives him a unique perspective when advising clients on workplace matters. Mr. Carr represents employers in state and federal court as well as before state and federal administrative agencies. He provides counsel to clients on compliance with the Fair Labor Standards Act, the National Labor Relations Act, the Family and Medical Leave Act, the Americans with Disabilities Act, and the Age Discrimination in Employment Act. GARY P. HOWAYECK is the principal of the Fall River law office of Gary P. Howayeck, PC. Since 1998, Mr. Howayeck has practiced in a wide range of civil litigation and employment law, including the defense of employment discrimination and wrongful termination claims, business development, creation of employment policies, drafting employee handbooks, hiring and firing practices, obligations under state and federal employment laws and regulations such as the Family and Medical Leave Act and the Americans with Disabilities Act, maternity leave, enforcement of employee non-compete agreements, labor negotiations, unemployment and other various areas. Beginning in 1998, Mr. Howayeck served as special assistant corporation counsel to the City of Fall River. In 2008, he became assistant corporation counsel, where he represents the City of Fall River against workers' compensation and discrimination claims. TIMOTHY M. NETKOVICK, an attorney at Royal, P.C., has 15 years of litigation experience. Mr. Netkovick has successfully tried several cases to verdict. In addition to his trial experience, Mr. Netkovick has specific experience in handling labor and employment matters before a variety of administrative agencies including the Massachusetts Commission Against Discrimination, the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the National Labor Relations Board, and the Department of Industrial Accidents. He also assists employers with unionized workforces during collective bargaining, at arbitrations, and with respect to employee grievances and unfair labor practice charges. AMY B. ROYAL is the founding partner of Royal, P.C., and is the head of the law firm's litigation group. SARAH C. SPATAFORE is an associate attorney with Murphy, Hesse, Toomey & Lehane, LLP. She practices primarily in the labor and employment area, representing both public and private clients. Ms. Spatafore also handles education issues. She has represented clients before a number of courts and administrative tribunals at both the state and federal level. She regularly conducts seminars and training programs on unlawful harassment, preventing discrimination, and a variety of other labor and employment issues. Ms. Spatafore has completed all the Massachusetts Commission Against Discrimination-certified "Train-the-Trainer" courses.
