CHENEE M. CASTRUITA is an attorney within the Columbus office of Mazanec, Raskin & Ryder Co., L.P.A. Ms. Castruita focuses her practice in the areas of civil rights and government liability, employment and labor law, and insurance coverage and bad faith claims. She is admitted to practice in Kentucky; Ohio; West Virginia; the U.S. District Court, Southern District of Ohio; and the U.S. District Court, Southern District of West Virginia. TIMOTHY E. COWANS is a partner with the law firm of Scott Scriven LLP, where he practices in the areas of employment law and workers' compensation defense. Mr. Cowans is a frequent speaker and author on employment law and workers' compensation law issues. He was in the first group of lawyers certified as a workers' compensation specialist by the Ohio State Bar Association. RYAN T. NEUMEYER is an attorney with McDonald Hopkins LLC, who has been certified as a specialist in labor and employment law by the Ohio State Bar Association. Mr. Neumeyer focuses his practice on the representation of management in employment matters and provides proactive counsel to employers by advising employers regarding compliant wage and hour practices and developing complaint wage and hour plans, advising employers regarding employee leave under the ADA, FMLA and workers’ compensation law, ensuring that terminations are complaint with existing law, and creating and revising functional employment policies and handbooks that decrease risk of litigation. He has effectively resolved many employment related disputes, including numerous FLSA collective actions, wrongful termination claims, and non-compete actions, among others. Mr. Neumeyer has been a frequent author and lecturer on topics related to employment law, and was named an Ohio Super Lawyers Rising Star in 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016 and 2017. His professional memberships include the Ohio State Bar Association and the Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Association; and he is licensed both in Ohio and Illinois. Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Neumeyer was an appellate attorney for the Office of the State Appellate Defender in Chicago, Illinois, and an extern for the Honorable Alice M. CHRISTOPHER C. RUSSELL is a partner in the law firm of Porter Wright Morris & Arthur LLP. He practices in the fields of labor and employment and workers' compensation, representing various companies before state and federal courts and administrative agencies. Mr. Russell has been certified as one of the state of Ohio's first specialists in the field of workers' compensation by the Ohio State Bar Association. He is a veteran in the financial services industry and previously spent nearly two decades as senior vice president and general counsel for two national mortgage lenders. From complex litigation and defense of regulatory enforcement actions, to the development of compliance strategies and effective tactics in real estate law and cybersecurity issues, Mr. Stein has guided clients through significant challenges as a trusted counselor and advisor.
