ROMAN ARCE is a member of the law firm of Marshall & Melhorn, LLC, where he focuses exclusively in labor and employment law. From 1992 to the present, Mr. Arce has practiced management-side labor law; construction industry labor law; employment litigation in state and federal courts; employment discrimination/harassment; workers‘ compensation; litigation under the FMLA, FLSA, ADA, OSHA, ERISA, Multiemployer Pension Plan Amendments Act, WARN Act, and affirmative action; wage and hour; and Ohio prevailing wage law compliance. He is a member of the Labor and Employment Law sections of the American, Ohio State, and Toledo bar associations. Mr. Arce earned his B.A. degree from the University of Notre Dame and his J.D. degree from the University of Michigan Law School.
DAVID A. CAMPBELL is a partner with Lewis Brisbois Bisgaard & Smith LLP, where he practices in the areas of employment litigation, labor and employee benefits law. He represents clients in federal courts across the country, in state courts, and before the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB), and the U.S. Department of Labor Occupational Safety & Health Administration (OSHA). Mr. Campbell's experience includes negotiation of and compliance with collective bargaining agreements, defense of ERISA claims, enforcement of non-compete agreements, defense of class actions, and advising clients on employment issues, multi-employer benefit plans and issues relating to the Fair Credit Reporting Act. He is a member of the American Bar Association, the Ohio State Bar Association, and the Cleveland Bar Association. Mr. Campbell has presented at seminars throughout the country on a variety of topics at forums that include nationwide teleconferences, industry-wide conferences, and presentations before the Ohio State Bar Association. He also serves as an adjunct professor at Wittenberg University. Mr. Campbell earned his B.S. and B.A. degrees, cum laude, from The Ohio State University, and his J.D. degree, summa cum laude, from The Ohio State University Michael E. Moritz College of Law.
CINDY M. CIESLAK is a partner with Rose Kallor, LLP. Ms. Cieslak's practice focuses on all aspects of labor and employment litigation in state and federal courts, as well as administrative agencies, including the defense of public sector and private employers against claims of discrimination, wage and hour violations, breach of contract, free speech retaliation, whistleblower retaliation, and other civil rights violations. She provides advice to employers regarding compliance with labor and employment laws. Ms. Cieslak conducts workplace investigations, prepares employee handbooks and best practices manuals for employers, and assists employers with affirmative action plans and compliance with laws and regulations pertaining to government contractors. She earned her B.A. degree, summa cum laude, from The Pennsylvania State University and her J.D. degree from The University of Connecticut School of Law.
JOEL R. HLAVATY is one of the founding partners of Frantz Ward LLP, and is a member of its Management Committee. He focuses his practice on the representation of management in all phases of labor relations and employment litigation, and regularly appears in federal and state courts, as well as administrative agencies of all jurisdictions on claims arising under federal and state labor and employment laws. Mr. Hlavaty routinely advises employers on all aspects of their relationships with employees, as well as with respect to matters concerning litigation prevention and human resources management. He additionally represents employers with respect to complaints and charges filed with the EEOC and OCRC, NLRB and SERB, and with OSHA and the DOL, as well as with health care and ERISA issues and complaints, collective bargaining issues, and strike disputes. Mr. Hlavaty is a frequent presenter at seminars and management training programs on a wide variety of topics. He was named one of Ohio's Super Lawyers and is listed in U.S. News Best Lawyers in Cleveland. He is a member of the Ohio State and the Cleveland Metropolitan (past chair of the Labor & Employment Law Section) bar associations. Mr. Hlavaty earned his B.A. degree, with honors, from John Carroll University and his J.D. degree, with honors, from the University of Akron.
ADAM P. MOREL is a solo practitioner and owner of Morel Law & Mediation, P.C., where his practice focuses on all aspects of employment law - from mediation and conflict avoidance to civil litigation and appeal. He has a special interest in providing risk avoidance training and consulting for business owners. Mr. Morel represents both employees and employers in state and federal courts, as well as before the 11th Circuit Court of Appeals. He also represents both individuals and businesses before a host of state and federal administrative agencies. Mr. Morel is a member of the American and Birmingham Bar Associations. He earned his bachelor's degree from the University of Florida and his J.D. degree from Cumberland School of Law.
