BRIAN J. PEZZILLO is a member of Howard & Howard Attorneys, PLLC, where he practices in the areas of medical and recreational marijuana, construction law and litigation and appeals. He is admitted to practice in New Mexico, Nevada, North Dakota, Arizona, Colorado and before the U.S. District Court, districts of Nevada and New Mexico; and U.S. Court of Appeals, 9th and 11th circuits. Mr. Pezzillo is a member of State Bar of Nevada, State Bar of New Mexico, American Bar Association and Clark County Bar Association. He serves as an arbitrator and mediator with the American Arbitration Association and the State Bar of Nevada's Fee Dispute Committee, as well as serving as a non-public arbitrator for the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) and as a member of the Southern Nevada Disciplinary Panel. Mr. Pezzillo is also accredited by the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP) as a Certified Information Privacy Professional/Europe (CIPP/E) and a Certified Information Privacy Manager (CIPM). He is also a fellow of the Construction Lawyers Society of America (CLSA) and has been listed as a Mountain States Super Lawyer, and a Best Lawyer in America. Mr. Pezzillo earned his B.B.A. degree from the University of New Mexico, Albuquerque and his J.D. degree from the University of New Mexico School of Law in Albuquerque, New Mexico and a Graduate Certificate from Drexel University in Privacy and Cybersecurity.ry.
ARTHUR K. SHAFFER is an attorney with Intellectual Property Center, LLC. He earned his B.S. degree from Kansas State University and his J.D. degree from the University of Missouri at Kansas City, with an emphasis in the areas of litigation and protection of intellectual property rights. Using electrical and computer engineering principles, he developed control systems for use in the largest and most demanding projects around the world, including the new Hong Kong airport. He has utilized his legal skills as an attorney in roles within the government, a Fortune 500 company, and various small businesses. Mr. Shaffer has spoken before various legal, civic, social and professional organizations. As a founder of the Intellectual Property Center, LLC, he has dedicated his legal career to serving entrepreneurs and businesses by helping them protect and promote their intellectual innovations, including their copyrights, trademarks and patents. Mr. Shaffer also volunteers with the Service Corps of Retired Executives (SCORE) by mentoring small businesses on a variety of issues.
