SUSAN M. HESS is a shareholder with Hammer Law Firm, PLC, where she practices in personal injury, business and corporate law, criminal defense, insurance, real property and estates. Ms. Hess is a member of the Iowa Organization of Women Attorneys (District 1 Representative), the Iowa Defense Counsel Association (editor-Defense Update), the American Bar Association, the Iowa State Bar Association (Professionalism Committee), Dubuque County Bar Association, Illinois State Bar Association, and the Jo Daviess County Bar Association. Ms. Hess received her B.A. degree from Loras College and her J.D. degree from University of Iowa College Of Law.
JOHN J. SCIESZINSKI is a sole practitioner at Scieszinski Law Office in Des Moines, Iowa, where he practices in the areas of bankruptcy, creditor/debtor, real estate, business law and probate. Mr. Scieszinski earned his B.A. degree from the University of Iowa and his J.D. degree from Creighton University. He also has an Iowa state teaching certificate. He is a frequent speaker for various business and professional groups, as well as local area colleges and continuing education programs. Mr. Scieszinski was an adjunct professor at Des Moines Area Community College, where he taught constitutional law, criminal law and ethics. He is a member of the National, Polk County, Federal, American, Nebraska State and Iowa State bar associations; and is licensed to practice in Iowa and Nebraska (inactive).
