EUGENE R. BUTLER is a sole practitioner in the Columbus law firm of Eugene R. Butler Co., LPA, where he has a litigation practice including extensive trial and appellate experience in both federal and state courts. He has also represented a diverse cross section of clients in simple and complex family law situations, including divorce, custody and support proceedings. Mr. Butler has spoken for various professional groups on topics relating to his areas of practice. He is a member of the Ohio State and American bar associations. Mr. Butler earned his B.A. degree from The Ohio State University and his J.D. degree, magna cum laude, from Capital University Law School.
HEIDI W. DORN is of counsel to the Columbus office of Dinsmore & Shohl LLP, where her practice focuses on assisting lawyers with ethical issues, providing confidential ethics consultations and opinions, and providing comprehensive representation in disciplinary actions and bar admission matters in Ohio. Ms. Dorn regularly presents seminars on ethics issues. She also represents healthcare clients in administrative hearings and appeals and in other regulatory matters. Ms. Dorn formerly served as counsel at the Ohio Supreme Court’s Board of Professional Conduct, where she not only provided guidance to the board, but also regularly assisted lawyers and law firms with ethical inquiries. She also served as an Ohio assistant attorney general, where she represented the State Medical Board of Ohio and other licensing agencies. Ms. Dorn received her B.S. degree, cum laude, from the University of Dayton and her J.D. degree from Capital University School of Law.
STEVEN FRANCKHAUSER is the senior director of HBK Energy and senior director of HBK's risk advisory and cyber security group and works out of both the Columbus and Pittsburgh offices. Mr. Franckhauser is an adjunct professor of law at the Duquesne University School of Law where he instructs the business planning course, contributes to the Penn State extension programs on shale development, and is an adjunct professor at Penn State University's Beaver campus on privacy topics. He serves on various industry-related organizations boards, is a frequent lecturer and speaker on the economic development and opportunities provided by energy, and acts as a liaison between those inside the industry and those seeking entry. Mr. Franckhauser frequently presents to groups and business on issues of cyber security and related data security measures and best practices. He is a trained and experienced mediator and business counselor. Mr. Franckhauser earned his B.A. degree from The Ohio State University and J.D. degree from the Duquesne University School of Law.
JESSE R. LIPCIUS is an attorney with the law firm of Ulmer & Berne LLP. He is a litigator practicing in Ohio, Kentucky, and Illinois. Mr. Lipcius focuses on resolving disputes in the construction and financial services environments. He is co-chair of the Cincinnati Bar Association’s Construction Law Committee and vice chair of the Construction Law Committee of the Ohio Association of Civil Trial Attorneys. Mr. Lipcius is a member of the Ohio State Bar Association, Defense Research Institute, and the American Bar Association (Tort Trial & Insurance Practice Section; Fidelity and Surety Law Committee; Forum Committee on the Construction Industry). He earned his B.S. degree from George Mason University and his J.D. degree from the University of Dayton School of Law.
MICHELLE MARTIN is an attorney with The Martin Law Firm Ltd., in Columbus, Ohio. Ms. Martin practices in the areas of juvenile law and personal injury, and serves clients throughout Ohio. Her personal injury experience includes handling matters involving benefits, motor vehicle accidents, motorcycle accidents, dog bites, facial disfigurement, products liability, slip and falls, permanent disability, temporary disability, the disabled workers' relief fund, wage loss, workers’ compensation, and wrongful death. As part of Ms. Martin’s juvenile practice, she handles delinquency matters and serves in the role of guardian ad litem. In addition to being experienced litigators, she and her team of professionals have business knowledge and mediation experience. Mr. Martin is a member of the Columbus Bar Association, Ohio State Bar Association, the John Mercer Langston Bar Association, Ohio’s affiliate member of the National Bar Association, and most recent chairperson for the Columbus Bar Association’s Juvenile Law Committee. She is also a member of the court appointed special advocates of Franklin County. Ms. Martin received her J.D. degree from Capital University Law School.
