DOUGLAS P. BECKER is a partner at Wechsler Becker LLP. He is a family law litigator with an emphasis on complex property and custody issues, as well as a family law mediator and arbitrator. His contributions to family law were twice recognized by the WSBA Family Law Section with an Attorney of the Year award in 1992 and a unique Special Achievement award in 2002. Mr. Becker served on the WSBA Family Law Section's Executive Committee from 1993 - 1999 and 2002 - 2017. In 1999 - 2000, he spent considerable time and effort on passage of Washington's Child Relocation Act, taking a major role in its drafting. In 2002, Mr. Becker created the online presence of the WSBA Family Law Section. In 2017, he was a founding board member of DRAW (Domestic Relations Attorneys of Washington), a family law specialty bar association, and created the group's online presence, which he continues to manage. In his spare time, Mr. Becker also publishes QuickCites, a compendium of Washington appellate decisions on family law that he has updated and made available to attorneys since 1997.
TODD R. DEVALLANCE is the managing partner with Tsai Law Company, PLLC. He focuses his practice on estate planning and complex family law matters, which includes: high asset dissolutions; cases involving business owners, partners, and shareholders; division of restricted stock units and tax deferred accounts; drafting of prenuptial and postnuptial agreements; and mediating family law matters. He is a frequent speaker at CLEs and seminars on the topic of tax consequences associated with divorce. Mr. DeVallance has appeared on The Today Show, Fox News Fox & Friends, ABC News, Anderson Cooper, and has provided legal analysis on national high-profile cases. He is licensed to practice before the United States Tax Court and the United States Supreme Court. Mr. DeVallance earned his B.S. degree, magna cum laude, from Chaminade University; his J.D. degree from Gonzaga University School of Law; and his LL.M. degree in taxation from the University of Washington School of Law.
KRISTINA T. LARRY is the managing attorney for Sassy Litigations, LLC, and is also known as the PreNup Princess and The Seattle Wedding Lawyer. Ms. Larry practices family, business, and trademark law in Federal Way, WA. She has practiced law with the government, in a law firm, and a nonprofit before she started her own firm in 2012. Ms. Larry has been a regular volunteer with the King County Bar Association's Housing Justice Project for the past 6 years and serves as the president of the Washington State Bar Foundation. She is also on the Executive Committee for the Solo/Small Practice Section of the WSBA. Ms. Larry was named as one the 40 Under 40 in 2018 by South Sound Business Magazine. She completed her undergraduate work at the University of Wyoming and received her J.D. degree from Thurgood Marshall School of Law.
O. YALE LEWIS III is a sole practitioner. He has been litigating family and Indian law matters for more than 15 years. He appears regularly on the family law motions calendar in King County, in addition to other superior courts and tribal courts in Eastern and Western Washington. Mr. Lewis is admitted to practice in the U.S. Supreme Court, USDC Western and Eastern districts of Washington, and most of the tribal bars in the State of Washington. He earned his B.A. degree in literary studies, cum laude, with honors, from Middlebury College, Vermont; his M.S. degree in journalism from the Graduate School of Journalism at Columbia University in New York; and his J.D. degree from the University of Washington in Seattle.
DAVID J. ORDELL is the principal of Ordell Law Offices with a strong focus on family law, including international and interstate custody, support, dissolution and parentage cases. He has spoken at numerous seminars for business and professional organizations regarding family law matters. Mr. Ordell earned his B.A. and J.D. degrees from the University of Washington. He is a member of the King County (member, Family Law Section) and Washington State (member, Family Law Section) bar associations. Mr. Ordell also is a past member of the Bench Bar Committee for Evaluation of Child Support Schedules, and in the past was tasked to brief a newly appointed family law commissioner on matters that would be faced by the commissioner on the family law motions calendar.
HILLARY M. ROBERTS is an attorney with Tsai Law Company, PLLC, where she practices in the areas of family law. She has represented clients in Superior Court throughout the Puget Sound region including Snohomish, King, Thurston, Benton, Kitsap and Clallam counties. Ms. Roberts received her B.A. degree in English language and literature and her master's degree in English language and literature with distinction. She then went on to earn her J.D. degree from Seattle University's School of Law.
AMIR JOHN SHOWRAI is a partner at Wechsler Becker LLP. As a seasoned attorney, he brings a wealth of experience in family law, as well as real property law, which he also practices at the firm. With a 12 year background in immigration law, focused on family based immigration and asylum, Mr. Showrai is also well versed in international child abduction cases based on the Hague Convention on Child Abduction. He received his B.A. degree from the University of California and his J.D. degree from Western State University, College of Law. Mr. Showrai is a member of the Washington State Bar Association (Alternative Dispute Resolution Section and Family Law Section) and the King County Bar Association. He co-founded Domestic Relations Attorneys of Washington (DRAW), where he currently serves as president of DRAW's Board of Directors through 2021. He is also a former member of the WSBA Family Law Section Executive Committee. He is admitted to practice in Washington, the United States District Court for the Western District of Washington, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit.
PHILIP C. TSAI is the co-founder of Tsai Law Company, PLLC, exclusively practicing family law and divorce litigation. Mr. Tsai is a speaker at continuing legal education seminars through the Washington State Bar Association and was featured with Judge Michael Price at the Family Law Mid Year in 2011, discussing ethical issues and social media. He also has been a speaker through the King County Bar Association discussing spousal maintenance, separate property claims and other divorce related topics. Mr. Tsai is a member of the Washington State, Snohomish, Pierce and King County (member, Family Law Section) bar associations.
