ANGELA MORISCO is an attorney in the Becker & Poliakoff LLP's community association practice group where she concentrates her practice in collections and foreclosures. She has extensive experience handling high volume commercial and consumer debt recovery litigation and has managed all aspects of litigation including, pleadings, discovery and motion practice. She is experienced with FDCPA compliance, as well as with lien foreclosures, rent receivers, deeds in lieu of foreclosure, and judgment recovery. She advises community association clients with reference to the legal issues implicated in Chapter 7 and 13 bankruptcy matters. Ms. Morisco has also handled appellate cases and has represented brokerage firms and ERISA funds in collection proceedings. She served as an arbitrator for FINRA, the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority, the largest independent regulation for all securities firms doing business in the United States. Ms. Morisco previously served as an adjunct professor for legal research and writing at Berkeley College in Woodland Park, New Jersey. She is admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court for the Eastern and Southern Districts of New York. Ms. Morisco is a member of the New York State Bar Association and the New Jersey State Bar Association. She earned her B.A. degree, magna cum laude, from Fordham University and her J.D. degree from Pace University School of Law.
