STEVEN A. KASS is a solo practitioner in Melville, New York and for the past 27 years has concentrated his practice in estate planning and elder law, planning for persons with special needs, wills, trusts, and guardianships. He is a certified elder law attorney through the National Elder Law Foundation. Mr. Kass is a member of the Nassau County, Suffolk County, New York State, and American bar associations; as well as the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys, National Elder Law Foundation and the Academy of Special Needs Planners. Mr. Kass earned his B.A. degree from the State University of New York at Stony Brook, and his J.D. degree and a certificate in health law and policy from Pace University School of Law.
CALEB LIHN is founder and partner of Taylor & Lihn PLLC. Mr. Lihn focuses his practice on Medicaid (ALTCS) planning, special needs planning/trusts, estate planning, probate, and guardianships/conservatorships. He is a member of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys (NAELA) and is the president-elect for the Arizona Chapter of NAELA. He is the immediate past-chair of the Executive Committee of the Elder Law, Mental Health, and Special Needs Planning Section of the State Bar of Arizona. Mr. Lihn earned his B.A. degree from Arizona State University; his J.D. degree from University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law; and his LL.M. degree (estate planning and elder law), from Western New England University, College of Law.
MIRANDA R. RICHARD advises clients in the transitions of life (and the moments in between). Her firm focuses on estate planning, legacy planning, long-term care planning (including Medicaid pre-planning and Medicaid crisis planning), and probate and guardianship matters. Ms. Richard is also a Veterans Affairs accredited attorney and assists clients with overlaying Veterans Affairs Aid & Attendance benefits with long-term care Medicaid benefits where appropriate and applicable. Ms. Richard practiced as a deputy prosecutor in Hendricks County, Indiana, for the first five years after her admission as an attorney, but she found herself navigating to the same care-centered path she grew up surrounded by. She practiced for seven years as an elder law focused attorney at Dillman Law Group, which later became Applegate & Dillman Elder Law. Ms. Richard founded her own firm in September 2020 in order to serve clients in a way that provides her own level of value to their experiences. She graduated from Indiana University - Indianapolis with a B.S. degree in criminal justice. Ms. Richard obtained her J.D. degree from Indiana University's Robert H. McKinney School of Law.
