CARISSA M. BEECHAM is senior counsel with Kronick Moskovitz Tiedemann & Girard where she assists public-and private-sector clients in the areas of land-use, natural resources, environmental law, and water law. Ms. Beecham is admitted to practice in California. She is a member of the Sacramento County Bar Association, Urban Land Institute, and the State Bar of California. Ms. Beecham earned her B.A. degree from the University of California at Davis and her J.D. degree from the University of California Davis School of Law.
JENIFER N. GEE is an attorney with Kronick Moskovitz Tiedemann & Girard where her practice areas include water and ground water law. Ms. Gee represents public and private sector clients in the areas of natural resources and water law. She is admitted to practice in California and Nevada. Ms. Gee is a member of the State Bar of California, State Bar of Nevada, and the Sacramento County Bar Association. She earned her B.A. degree from the University of Maryland at College Park and J.D. degree from the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law.
JOHN A HEER is an attorney with Fair Shake Environmental Legal Services and has almost 30 years of experience practicing litigation, transactional, regulatory and environmental law, including experience with traditional environmental issues relating to the Clean Water Act, Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA), the Clean Air Act, the Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA), Federal Insecticide, Fungicide, the Rodenticide Act (FIFRA), Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act (CERCLA), brownfields, wetlands and stormwater. He also has experience across North America with sustainability and chemical management. He is also a certified ISO 14001:2004 EHS auditor. Mr. Heer earned his J.D. degree, cum laude, from Case Western Reserve University School of Law, where he earned the Lewis F. Powell, Jr. Excellence in Advocacy Award on the National Mock Trial team. He received his B.A. degree in criminal justice and psychology from Indiana University.
KIMBERLY A. JACKSON is with The Robilee, Staffred & Emile Group located in Golden, Colorado. She has worked with both environmental organizations and oil and gas operators on issues of land use, regulatory compliance, ownership rights (surface, mineral, and royalty), conservation easements, air quality regulations, NEPA compliance, and public health and safety issues as they apply to populations impacted by mineral extraction. Ms. Jackson is a licensed nurse, earning her PN certification from the Community College of Denver; her B.A. degree from the University of Colorado; and both her J.D. and LL.M. degrees from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law. She is currently licensed in both New Mexico and North Dakota.
SCOTT B. PIEKARSKY is a partner with Phillips Nizer LLP, where he concentrates his practice in the areas of licensed professional matters, insurance law, general negligence, small business representation, real estate and community association law. Mr. Piekarsky regularly handles cases involving general corporate and business law, professional liability, attorney ethics and professional licensing representation, expert review, community association, real estate, chancery, commercial collections, probate, and appellate law. He is a certified civil trial attorney by the Supreme Court of New Jersey, a Rule 1:40 mediator, a Rule 1:40 mediator mentor and a mortgage foreclosure mediator. Mr. Piekarsky is a member of the N.J. EDWARD B. WITTE is a shareholder in the environmental strategies practice group of Godfrey & Kahn S.C. He has represented publicly and privately-held clients in the service and manufacturing industries, as well as governmental bodies in a wide range of environmental matters across Wisconsin, nationally and globally. Mr. Witte has extensive experience in environmental due diligence and liability allocation in real estate, financing and corporate transactions, defense of government and private party-lead enforcement actions and, conversely, enforcement of environmental contractual rights against third parties, the development and redevelopment of environmentally sensitive and contaminated properties, including Brownfields, coordinating Superfund site response activities, including as chair of steering committees, siting and permitting of manufacturing facilities and renewable and traditional energy projects and financial reporting of environmental liabilities under Sarbanes Oxley and related SEC standards. He provides guidance to his clients regarding compliance with myriad environmental laws, remediating contaminated properties, climate change and energy policy, including the Federal Clean Power Plan (CPP), meeting the requirements of water, wetland, and stormwater permitting standards and regulations, and working through complex land use challenges. Mr. Witte is a member of the Milwaukee and American bar associations, and the State Bar of Wisconsin (Environmental Law Section). He earned his B.A. degree from University of Vermont, J.D. degree, cum laude, from University of Vermont and Masters of Studies of Environmental Law, magna cum laude, from Vermont Law School.
