SCOTT R. DISMUKES is a partner with the Pittsburgh law firm of Eckert Seamans Cherin & Mellott, LLC, where he practices in the area of environmental law. Mr. Dismukes was assistant regional counsel, U.S. Environmental Protection Agency Region V; and was a law clerk to the Honorable Justin M. Johnson, Superior Court of Pennsylvania. He is a frequent speaker on environmental and land use topics to various professionals. Mr. Dismukes is a member of the Pennsylvania and Ohio State bar associations, the State Bar of Michigan, the Allegheny County Bar Association, the Water Environment Federation, and the Air and Waste Management Association. He earned his B.A. degree from Michigan State University and his J.D. degree from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law.
JOHN A. HEER focuses his practice on all aspects of environmental law, including compliance counseling and litigation matters. Mr. Heer has experience with traditional environmental issues relating to the Clean Water Act; Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA); Clean Air Act; Toxic Substances Control Act; Federal Insecticide, Fungicide, and Rodenticide Act (FIFRA); Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation and Liability Act (CERCLA); Brownfields; wetlands; and stormwater. He also has experience throughout North America with sustainability, chemical management and regulation, and extended producer responsibility regulations, including electronic waste recycling and management. Mr. Heer has been a frequent speaker and writer on a variety of environmental and litigation topics. He is a member of the American, Ohio State, Cleveland Metropolitan, and Akron bar associations. Mr. Heer is admitted to practice in all Ohio state courts and before various U.S. district courts and courts of appeals. He earned his B.A. degree from Indiana University and his J.D. degree, cum laude, from Case Western Reserve University School of Law.
MARTIN T. JONES is a shareholder with Waterfall, Economidis, Caldwell, Hanshaw & Villamana, PC, in Tucson, Arizona, where he focuses his practice on environmental, real estate, business and land use law. For more than 30 years, he has provided legal advice regarding environmental, real estate and land use issues such as environmental due diligence in real estate transactions, Brownfields remediation, Superfund, the Clean Water Act, the Clean Air Act, RCRA (including underground storage tanks), the Endangered Species Act and entitlements. Mr. Jones possesses extensive experience in complex real estate transactions involving residential, commercial and industrial real estate acquisitions, dispositions, and leases. He recently served as a mediator in a dispute over mining permits. Before joining the firm, he served as assistant attorney general for the State of Arizona Environmental Enforcement Section, where he was responsible for the management and coordination of potential responsible party investigations at all state Superfund sites within Arizona. Mr. Jones is frequently invited to speak about key environmental law issues. He has served as the featured speaker at several National Business Institute seminars; has spoken at several meetings of the Environmental Information Association, including as the keynote speaker at their national convention; and has presented many Continuing Legal Education seminars for the State Bar of Arizona. Mr. Jones earned his B.A. degree from the University of Evansville and his J.D. degree from Indiana University School of Law. He is a member of the State Bar of Arizona and the Environmental & Natural Resources, and Real Property sections.
