RICHARD S. KOBLENTZ is an attorney with Koblentz & Penvose, LLC. Mr. Koblentz devotes the greatest portion of his practice to the area of professional responsibility, including legal ethics, attorney discipline, bar admission representation, representation in the areas of attorney conflicts of interest, disqualification of counsel, law firm formations and dissolutions, legal malpractice representation as both plaintiff and defense counsel, and service as an expert witness. He also practices in the areas of complex and general civil litigation, criminal defense, probate, real estate, small business counseling, and domestic relations. Mr. Koblentz has served as president of the Cleveland-Marshall Law Alumni Association; is an officer of the Cuyahoga County Bar Association; and is a member of the Council of Visitors at California Western School of Law in San Diego, California. He earned his B.S. degree from The Ohio State University and his J.D. degree from Cleveland-Marshall College of Law.
CARYN MARKOWITZ GROEDEL is the principal attorney with Caryn Groedel & Associates Co., LPA, in Cleveland where she concentrates her practice in the area of employment and labor law. She is a certified specialist in employment and labor law and she has been recognized as a Super Lawyer by Ohio Super Lawyer Magazine from 2006-2020. Ms. Groedel is a founding member of the Cleveland Employment Lawyers Inns of Court, and she is a long-term member of the National Employment Lawyers Association, the Ohio Employment Lawyers Association, and the Cleveland Employment Lawyers Association. She has been featured in local and national media; is a frequent speaker on employment-related issues; and is licensed to practice law in Ohio, Pennsylvania, Washington, D.C., and Maryland. Ms. Groedel received her B.A. degree from George Washington University and her J.D. degree from George Mason University.
MATTHEW J. SILLA, ASA, CFA, is a senior manager with Apple Growth Partners. AGP is a full-service CPA firm focused on helping privately held businesses grow. He is part of the firm's business valuation and litigation support team, which consists of nine full time employees and completes more than 200 engagements per year. Mr. Silla focuses his areas of concentration on the valuation of privately owned businesses, ESOPs, intangible assets, and stock options, as well as financial market and industry research, financial modeling, and company specific financial performance analysis. He is a member of the Chartered Financial Analyst Institute and the American Society of Appraisers. In addition to serving as a senior member of the firms ESOP team, Mr. Silla heads the firm's financial reporting valuation practice. He earned his B.A. degree with a concentration in finance from Baldwin Wallace University.
ONEY SNYDER is an attorney with Carlile Patchen & Murphy LLP. He joined the firm in October 2020. Mr. Snyder primarily focuses his practice on representing clients with respect to their real estate related needs, which includes buying and selling, landlords and tenants, developers in all phases of construction, sales and leasing, financing, zoning, and land use. He received his bachelor's degree from Cornell University and his J.D. degree from Cleveland Marshall College of Law where he graduated in the top 10% of his class with summa cum laude honors. Mr. Snyder is a member of the Columbus Bar Association.
BENJAMIN S. ZACKS is the founding member of the Columbus firm of Zacks Law LLC, where his practice includes representation of businesses and individuals in connection with business formation, restructuring, wealth planning and funding, asset preservation, estate planning and probate, entrepreneurial law, health care practice group law, intellectual property, computers, energy and technology, debt restructuring, taxation, accounting, auditing, asset recovery matters, and international transactions. He has particular real estate experience in acquisitions and dispositions, commercial and residential lease transactions, permanent and construction financing (on behalf of both lenders and borrowers), office and condominium development, syndications, joint ventures, construction and architect contracts, developer representation, title insurance, zoning and land use development, planning services, and litigation services at the trial and appellate levels (state and federal), and in arbitration. He earned his B.A. degree from The Ohio State University and his J.D. degree from Capital University Law School. Mr. Zacks is licensed to practice law in Ohio and Arizona. He is a member of the Columbus, Ohio State, and American bar associations; the State Bar of Arizona; and he is a licensed practitioner before the U.S. Tax Court.
