ED SNOW is a partner in the Atlanta office of Burr & Forman LLP, where he practices in the firm’s lending practice group. He has practiced law since 1988 and is admitted to practice in Georgia, Maryland and Tennessee. He represents banks, finance companies, funds and borrowers in the middle and large corporate markets, and his clients include JPMorgan Chase Bank, Wells Fargo Bank, Chatham Capital, Regions Bank, Atlantic Capital Bank, Synovus Bank, First Citizens Bank, United Community Bank, Charter Bank and MidCap Financial Services, among others. Mr. Snow has extensive experience with the following kinds of lending/borrowing transactions: accounts receivable and inventory finance; cash flow finance; mezzanine finance; health care finance; equipment finance; joint venture finance; leveraged acquisition finance; unsecured finance; letters of credit finance; asset securitizations; media, high tech and telecommunications finance; real estate finance; loan syndications and participations; workouts, restructurings and forbearance arrangements; secured party sales; debtor-in-possession finance; and loan purchases and sales. He received his B.A. degree from Brigham Young University, his J.D. degree from the University of Tennessee School of Law and his LL.M. degree in banking law from Boston University School of Law. Mr. Snow is a former adjunct professor of contracts and contract drafting at Emory Law School. He frequently writes and speaks on lending and other legal topics and has lectured for the National Business Institute, the Institute of Continuing Legal Education in Georgia, as well as the Emory University Law and Religion Program, and other organizations. Mr. Snow has been recognized by Chambers USA, Leading Practitioner in banking & finance (2009-2017); The Best Lawyers of America (2006-2016); Georgia Super Lawyers, banking (2010-2017); and is a fellow with the American College of Commercial Finance Lawyers.
JONATHAN M. SYKES is an attorney in the Orlando office of Burr & Forman LLP. Mr. Sykes represents financial institutions and creditors in a wide variety of bankruptcy and litigation matters, including adversary proceedings and contested matters in bankruptcy, avoidance actions, mortgage foreclosure litigation, financial services litigation, debt collection, and post-judgment litigation. He is a member of the firm’s creditors’ rights and bankruptcy, and financial services litigation practice groups. Mr. Sykes is a member of the American Bankruptcy Institute, Central Florida Bankruptcy Law Association (board member), Bankruptcy Bar Association for the Southern District of Florida, Orange County (Young Lawyers Division), and American Bar Association. He has been selected as a Florida Super Lawyers Rising Star, bankruptcy: business (2017-2018). Mr. Sykes received his B.A. degree, summa cum laude, from University of Florida and earned his J.D. degree from Florida State University College of Law.
