JOHN COLLEN is a partner with SmithAmundsen LLC, where his practice areas include bankruptcy and creditors' rights and commercial litigation. He has more than 25 years of experience handling Chapter 11 reorganizations, out of court work-outs, creditors' rights litigation, and transactions involving troubled business entities. Mr. Collen handles these matters on behalf of debtors, secured and unsecured creditors, creditors' committees, shareholders, receivers, trustees, landlords, and asset buyers. His clients operate in a variety of industries, including real estate, retail, manufacturing, printing and graphics, airlines, toys, telecommunications, broadcast, health care, music, transportation, entertainment, floor covering and power generation. Mr. Collen serves as an adjunct professor of law in the Bankruptcy LLM Program at St. John's University Law School in New York, and is a member of the American College of Bankruptcy. He earned his A.B. degree, summa cum laude, from Dartmouth College and his J.D. degree from Georgetown University Law Center.
STACIE L. GOLLATA is an owner with Gorrell Giles Gollata PC, a real estate law firm in Denver. She has been practicing commercial real estate law for more than 20 years. Prior to joining Gorrell Giles Gollata PC in 2005, Ms. Gollata practiced with two major law firms in two states. Her real estate practice focuses on the acquisition, finance, development, sale and lease of improved and unimproved real property for medical, commercial, retail, industrial and residential purposes. In addition, Ms. Gollata represents both landlords and tenants in the negotiation of ground lease development, as well as office, commercial, medical, retail and industrial space leases. Her varied real estate experience also includes negotiating general construction contracts, subcontracts, owner/architect agreements, and other owner/consultant agreements. Additionally, she has experience representing lenders and borrowers in many types of financing transactions, including complex, multistate financing arrangements and securitized loan pools. Ms. Gollata earned her B.A. degree, magna cum laude, from the University of Wisconsin Eau Claire, and her J.D. degree from the University of California, Davis School of Law, where she was Order of the Coif.
KELLY J. SCHWAB is the owner of a small firm in Oshkosh, Wisconsin, where she practices in the areas of real estate law, business law, corporate law, landlord/tenant law, collections and estate planning. She is a licensed real estate agent and broker in the state of Wisconsin. Ms. Schwab is also a continuing education instructor for real estate licensees in the state of Wisconsin, a professor at the University of Wisconsin - Oshkosh in the areas of business law and finance, and presents at multiple continuing legal education seminars on topics ranging from real estate and title issues to landlord/tenant law. She serves as general counsel for her family owned business, which specializes in residential and commercial investments, development, and brokerage. Ms. Schwab is a member of the American Bar Association, State Bar of Wisconsin, Winnebago County Bar Association, Oshkosh Chamber of Commerce (Government Affairs Committee), Oshkosh Southwest Rotary and Winnebago County Apartment Owner's Association. She earned her B.A. degree in business administration, with honors, from St. Norbert College; her M.S. degree in taxation, with an emphasis in state and local taxation, with honors, from the University of Wisconsin - Milwaukee; and her J.D. degree, with a concentration in corporate and commercial law, with honors, from Hamline University School of Law.
HANNAH SMET is an attorney with Schwab Legal Group, LLC. Ms. Smet’s primary areas of practice include collections, estate planning, family law, small claims, and real estate. She began her employment with the firm in May 2012. Ms. Smet has appeared in more than 130 court proceedings, including child support, child custody, paternity and divorce matters. She is a member of the State Bar of Wisconsin, the American Bar Association and the Winnebago County Legal Aid Clinic. Ms. Smet earned her B.A. degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and her J.D. degree from William Mitchell College of Law.
